Gregg Turkington interview on Den of Geek:

http://www.denofgeek.com/us/tv/adult-swim/263709/why-movie-buffs-need-to-be-watching-adult-swims-on-cinema

This is great.  About pissed myself during that long bit talking about all those dreadful Popcorn Classic tapes he needs replaced, as well as his reasoning for needing at least two copies of a film like Kate & Leopold.

Repeater

Aye, I lold at that (Kate & Leopold) also his Kramer diatribe... fuck me. Perfect.

Puce Moment

I love the idea that Tim paid his way into an appearance in the Fantastic Four film.

Spoiler alert
Tim reading out the names of the Electric Sun Twenty killed me. It's the way he speeds up halfway through to get through them quickly.

It's got so (entertainingly) grim this season; I wonder if Gregg's gormlessly giddy movie enthusiasm can ever return back to earlier levels, he seems destroyed. Even when Tim wasn't there 2 weeks ago he came across as a broken shell.

That's some haircut.

He's a waistcoat and a pair of specs away from Jan Skyler with his new 'do.

That's some haircut.

Perhaps on the advice of Doug Lyman, he's clearly going for the sensible/responsible look (see also  his choice of clothes) - they've managed to make him look amusingly absurd/creepy in the process, though.
Gregg back in the depths of who-gives-a-fuck depression after a brief period of hope and relaxed wine-supping adds nicely to the bleakness.

Adult Swim are streaming the season finale today at 5PM eastern time.

That's about 10PM here, right? Which means it's coming on RIGHT BLOODY NOW

Led Souptin

Been lurking here for ages (hi all) but really just needed to chime in with another fucking hell.

incredible stuff

Blimey.

Enjoyed Gregg's barely concealed smirking throughout most of that.

Led Souptin

Is anyone else concerned that might be the end of on cinema?
Spoiler alert
Tim facing a prison sentence and the six bags ending felt quite series finale-y

When I read that Adult Swim were streaming the last episode LIVE, I assumed we might be in for an Oscar Special-esque, sprawling actually-live, four hour masterpiece.

Ahh well. Was still a great way to see the season out.

9 seasons in, and Tim's inability to pronounce names/titles/phrases/words, has not stopped being funny.

There showing a load of old Decker on the stream now if anyone still has it up

Great use of the mugshot again this week: http://imgur.com/wgXEyyJ (contains spoiler)

Depressed Beyond Tables

Kinda got a Breaking Bad vibe off the end of that one. It's ramping up.

Really good, 40-minute interview video with Tim here from earlier this week.
Discusses Decker, On Cinema, Tim & Eric, his music and much more.
What a thoroughly nice bloke.

Cheers squire, will watch it tonight.

Sounds like Tim and Gregg (for real) are trying to bolster the Adult Swim funding to let them keep going with the non-Decker specials etc. They're using Patreon, but some of the more expensive tiers are actually one offs. Seems strange to do it on there rather than Indiegogo etc, but I'm sure they have their reasons.

Thanks, that's great. Gregg just being a stubborn dickhead in his determination to make everything about movies or movie trivia.

I must thank people for keeping this thread going for so long; only because I kept seeing it appear did I eventually give this a chance. As an ex-house DJ who detests current EDM it was the DKR MT BTL 2.0 track that piqued my interest, I jumped in blind at the Our Cinema Oscar Special this year, and then immdiately began watching the entire On Cinema/Decker from the beginning. The three stooges impressions, Paul Turbo, CGI Tom Cruise Jr, the fires... just so many hilarious moments.

Quick question though - did Decker Unclassified (season 4) actually exist? All I can find on youtube are 1 min teaser trailers. The AS website lists 5 episodes but none of the videos actually load.

Yeah, season 4 existed as complete episodes, so I'm not sure what's up there.

DrGreggles

Is there a big zip file of all the old episodes of On Cinema knocking around anywhere?
I've only seen the stuff that's on YouTube, but I need more of this in my ears for commuting.

Yeah there is a full series but it seems to have gone from youtube. It is up on the Adult Swim site but shit never loads on that half the time.
