Wimbledon is soon innit! I really wanna get stuck into it this year! Who's in? I am! My hat's in the ring, lads!

Are you in?

Dex Sawash

Prior commitment to the challemge will probably force me out of wimblewrong

Crabwalk

I'm up for a 'wronging this year.

Any volunteers to run it? I fear Passive-Aggressive Susan may have too much on her plate this summer.

ziggy starbucks

holy shit is it that time of year again?

I'll have a bash. How about we have a team of moderators rather than just one uber-fuhrer

Crabwalk

That's a good idea Zigs. Let's go from fascist dictatorship to socialist utopia this year.

I've just checked and Wimbledon starts on Monday 29th June. So that's three weeks to gather a field of challengers. Shall we aim to makie the first round draw the evening before?

Any demand for rule tweaks?

I'll put my name forward this year after sitting out the last few.

I'll put my name forward this year after sitting out the last few also.

Passive-Aggressive Susan

I can see that I'm surplus to requirements this year. That's absolutely fine. I'm taking mother to Sarajevo (her suggestion) for 5 days in early October so wouldn't be around for the semi finals anyway.

As nobody's posted the rules yet (come on guys) here they are, for all the attention they'll be paid by kittens and his 'relaxed' ilk:

Quote1. Each match will consist of two shots per player, except the final in which there are three shots per player.
2. The player with the opening shot (i.e. the server) can put what they want in their picture.  But all subsequent pictures (i.e the return) must contain, either visually or conceptually, an element of the previous picture.
3. The pictures will be 800 x 600, or 600 x 800 pixels in size.
4. Voting will take place by posting the name of your favourite in the game thread immediately after play has ended (i.e. when the 4th picture of each match has been posted).  The voting will last for 48 hours.
5. Common sense prevails in image choice. I've no idea what this one is still doing here.
6. Pictures can be uploaded to places like photobucket.com for those who have no webspace, but the picture must be displayed in the game thread.

And a reminder of time permitted:  You have 72 hours to post an image from when the round starts or from when the last shot has been posted. Keep a look out on your game for when your opponent posts their shot, as it's from that time that the 72 hours start.

Good luck and may god and a good legal team help you all.

Paul Calf

I'd love to, but I'm Photoshop-incapable.

BlodwynPig

Myself and Paul Calf have entered as lucky losers.

MS Paint mate. I did it for the first time last year using it.

I'll think about it regarding signing up this year. Depends how very busy I'll get in the coming weeks.

Big Jack McBastard

DocDaneeka

Ah I haven't photoshopped for a long time, but I'll give it a go.

Petey Pate

I'll take part in this for the first time ever (!!!)

Frazer

I'll have a piece of the action.

Fry

I'm sad to say this'll be my first year of not entering in a while, but I didn't bring my mothershitting wacom tablet thingy to china with me and I know you've come to expect a certain level of quality. Photoshopping with a mouse is a bitch.

Crabwalk

I won it with a trackpad, pussy.

Consignia

I almost won it by default last year, so you don't need skills or quality to win. Just enough people dropping out on you.

Although with Fry, we might see some interference from the Chinese government. They'll have finest artists to hand to edit his 'wrongs to maximise his winnings and thus the glory of China.

Amazing what they can do with sex-toys these days.

alan nagsworth

Yeah I mean it's a laugh either way, I've seen some belter shots played with MS Paint. That's what I was foing in the first round last year before I dropped out for being a trackpad pussy. Well actually it was life reasons but yeah. Sign up you trackpad pussies.
