Lou Reed sings Right Said Fred
« on: April 18, 2017, 11:02:32 pm »
I had a dream the other night that Lou Reed's last recording was a cover of 'I'm Too Sexy' and the only way I could exorcise it from my mind was to attempt to record it.

Well, you get the idea with that. Perhaps some other posters can attempt to record some incongruous cover versions. Swans doing Haddaway or something. I dunno. The thread can't be just this.

Is this available anywhere else? I'm on a daft tablet so the link just takes me to a soundcloud app download page (even once app is installed and account created). If I can't get this bastard to work before bedtime I'll probably just give you a karma point any way for how I imagine it sounds.

Stuart Staples doing the Superted theme.

This is quite honestly fucking brilliant, I've played it three times now.  Now it doesn't sound incongruous at all.  MILAN.

I reckon Deeply Dippy sounds like it could conceivably be a Lou Reed song too. Hell, if he can write The Original Wrapper and Sex With Your Parents Part 2.....
