I wasn't expecting that. I met Nick Cash back in the early 00s when my band at the time were meant to be supporting his band Junk Orange at a gig that didn't end up happening. He was a thoroughly nice bloke, and he gave me a copy of his demo cassette for https://www.discogs.com/Unmen-Love-Under-Water-And-Other-Motion-Picture-Music/release/348694. IIRC, it was even better than the above track.

The bass in that track is really weird but I can't quite put my finger on why. It's the B-side of Expert:
