First film Bond to die. He was the most fun Bond.

MoonDust

Captain Z

I was expecting him to talk.

That wasn't even him was it. Anyway, RIP. Growing up he was always my favourite Bond. I don't think that era of films appeals to me as much now I'm older, but I still have a soft spot for Live And Let Die.

Beagle 2

Still find it slightly bonkers he was 89. I maintain A View to a Kill is good.

"Hello Alan..."

SteveDave

My favourite Bond, even if the last few were complete shit.

Alberon

No, Mr Bond I expect you to... oh he has.

(Yes I know it's the wrong Bond, but I don't care)

baptist

Definitely my favourite bond, which no one who believes the best to be Connery can ever seem to get their heads around.

RIP.

One of the best lines ever delivered in a Bond film.
My name is Bond.... (Mr Big) Names is for tombstones baby, yall take this honky outside and waste him

RIP Roger.

batwings

FUCK'S SAKE batwings

Such a shame.

TrenterPercenter

The Spy Who Loved Me was one of the best, if not the best.

RIP

Vodka Margarine

No-one wore a safari suit with quite the same degree of casuality.

R.I.P.

Howj Begg

rip

i always thought his name was a cheeky stage name pun, but no it was in fact part of his birth name.

Kane Jones

Gah, I always loved Dodgy Rog. He seemed like a thoroughly decent chap. RIP.

biggytitbo

Ohh shit, this day gets worse.

vic spanner

"Keeping the British end up, Sir."

View To A Kill is the best Bond film - FACT.

I was quite sad about Rog but this opinion of yours always cheers me up and makes me scream with hysterical laughter. Thanks bigglesworth.

Oh, the tags we could be enjoying.....

Moore's comic timing was never better than in The Man With The Golden Gun, following the punch up at the beginning.

Belly Dancer (examining navel):  I've lost my charm!
Rog (eyebrows): ...Not from where I'm standing.

Bond had to get lighter and Moore was the man for that job.

Blumf

Always liked him as a cat loving arsehole in North Sea Hijack

And A View to a Kill was a decent Bond film, all the haters can naff off.

Sony Walkman Prophecies

Was anyone else going to do a 'Less Roger' tag?

MuteBanana

I always had him down as one that would hang on til the bitter end. 100 and spending his last days in a nursing home, unable to do much else but give the old girls a cheeky wink. 89 seems too young for Roger.

O'Connery was your Dads, never took to Dalton, Brosnan I associate with that bloody GoldenEye game. Nah, Roger was always the Bond for me. RIP Sir.

SteveDave, but he did it better

The one with the black fella laughing on the train was good.
A View to a Kill was my favourite as a kid. Iirc they wanted rid of Moore but due to everyone else being unavailable they had to go with him, I'd like to think they reworked the film to play up how ridiculous it all was. Fun film, great theme son.

Basically every other Moore Bond was fucking garbage though.
