A lot of it just seems to be down to it being Moore's last Bond and perhaps the beach boys track at the start but really it feels very much inline with the rest of the 80's Bonds pre Licence to Kill, some fun over the top stuff but a pretty sensible core to it.

When the dust settles it will be interesting to see who the public preferred - Roger Moore or moors murderer Ian Brady.

He was the first to admit that he wasn't exactly a great actor, but he proved to be a fine human being. Nobody else could look less stupid in a safari suit. And North Sea Hijack is a vastly underrated film.

As opposed to obnoxious wife-beater Sean Connery, the most overrated Bond in history (even if he did single-handedly do every job in Edinburgh in the 1950s).
