Cook'd and Bomb'd: Sodomy, Hawaiian-style!
SummaryThe Chris Morris Music Show was broadcast on Radio One during 1994 and consisted of 23 approximately one-hour episodes plus a double-length special on Boxing Day. The shows followed the same pattern as Morris' earlier radio projects, although this time he was joined in the studio by his collaborator from 'The Day Today', Peter Baynham, and outside the studio by 'man with a mobile phone' Paul Garner. Regular features included Paul Garner's shop-bothering, puerile tannoy announcements and Feedback Reports on important issues such as 'vertical meat'. The inevitable storm hit after the show on 6th July when Morris played highlights of his attempts to update the BBC obituary tape for Michael Heseltine, a politician who was very much alive at the time. A short suspension was followed by a return to the airwaves on the condition that all future shows were pre-recorded; this caused serious headaches in terms of planning and production, and many later scheduled shows were replaced with repeats. During the Boxing Day special Morris announced the death of broadcaster Jimmy Saville (who again was very much alive). Following this, Radio 1 did not renew his contract. It is believed that Radio 1 hold master recordings of all twenty four shows. Programmes / DownloadsMost of the following are high-quality recordings by Steve Bass2rez, unless noted.
