How about scanning the news for articles about the NHS over the last six months and then searching within these articles for positive or negative terms then scoring this infomation to calculate just how fast Bevan is spining in his grave.

Searching for technological words and scoring them against their proximity to the word 'Revolution' to plot a graph of revolution peaks and troughs in various areas of research. (Apparently with the same method Wired magazine procaims a revolution once every six months.)
