Well it looks like it's finally arrived so how's about getting your mouldy fat arses outdoors and grabbing a few shots that encapsulate the spirit of spring?

New life, colour, cadbury's cream eggs, sparkling sunlight and rain...

Get snapping.

zozman

Good call Sproggers.  I was thinking about restarting the assignments just this morning.  I'll get out and about this weekend.

Any timescale?

sproggy

I hear it's still a bit grim up North so let's give it a nice long deadline of say 30th April?

I took a photo just Saturday precisely because it reminded me of Spring. The weather was glorious and the beer garden beautiful. Only camera phone, I'm afraid, but...

The most amazing rolling countryside views were to be had from the back of the beer garden too. I want to live in the country now please.

Did the two transvestites pissing in the bushes in the background piss in your glass first?

That's pretty good resolution for a camera phone Slim.  What is it?

Tre

Excellent - an excuse to get the camera out and go for a walk...

It's a camera phone.

AHAHAHAHAHAsorryaboutyourthreadHAHAHAHA!

It's a W800i. That's been scaled down and cropped too; the original is a delicious 1632x1224 image. Don't think I didn't notice you complimented the phone and not my photo, you bastard.

Ooh, great idea, I'm out in the country at the moment so I shall take a walk in a week or so and see what I find methinks.

mook

A twee old of load bumpf I'm afraid.

But those little yellow buggers (Whatever they are?) are the only things in the garden not swaying to fuck and back in the wind.

Bogey

Crocuses.

(Not croci though, at least according to Google, who, when asked, gave me this:

Which might as well be my contribution I suppose.
"Spring")

sproggy

If you didn't take the picture Bogey it doesn't belong here I'm afraid.

I believe there's a thread dedicated to hilarious Google searches somewhere.

THAT is gorgeous!

I was presented it by one of my sproglerettes after they had given it a good chew.

Poor little thing, look at it's eye for god's sake.

Oh that made me laugh that did. Still, what about the world's tallest woman next to them. Or it might be that Little Britain bloke. Good idea though sproglette, I'll get me camera out.

This is the official beginning of spring for me, when the magnolia on the corner blooms.

Tre

Today I decided to complete this assignment
I thought I'd go for a walk down the road to the park
Then, I had the bright idea of dragging the bike from the garage...
I broke the garage door...
... it now cannot be opened
I cycled my bike (for the first time in about 4 years) around the corner...
...only to get a puncture

The park did not contain many signs of spring
The ducks and ducklings were no where to be seen
No magnolia trees in sight
Just Daffodils, not even particularly nice ones

On the way back (pushing my bike) I found my first real sign of spring
It was laying on the ground, solitary, gleaming in the daylight...

I picked it up and brought it home.
Then laid it on a pile of post-it-notes to recover

Purple Tentacle

Yesterday I saw an old bag woman stealing all the daffodils in Turnham Green Green. She had this huge armfull of daffodils, and all around her were broken stems. Ruined for everybody, and a smelly tramp gets to do god knows what with them. She didn't even look happy.

Imagine I'd taken a black-and-white picture of this, and I'll win.

zozman

Not much cop but I've got a better one planned.

Lovely colours. Photoshoped or au-naturale?
