Well the comic strip I requested these statements for is finished - and here it is.  Please note though that this strip won't be officially published until around Jan or Feb, so I'd be grateful if people didn't post these images anywhere else.  This is strictly for Verbwhores only!

You'll be able to see some of the grafitti in the background images, although it is a bit difficult with this resolution to see it all.  But there you go!  Hope you all like it, and thanks to those who contributed.

Good stuff. Is it drawn from pictures you took before hand or just freehand from your brain?

Also [military geek] why are there Humvees in the street. The British military doesn't use them.

Because I couldn't find suitable reference for the British vehicles.  Sorry...

It's heavily referenced from photographs.  God bless Google Image Search - plus anyone living near St Werburghs in Bristol might recognise some of the locations.  I also got permission to photograph inside a guy's shop, and when I showed him the final comic strip he was heartbroken that I hadn't put him in it.  I felt awful.

Yeah, the grafitti can't be made out on this size unfortunately, and as it turns out much of it can't really be made out in print size either, with the exception of the phrase "It's not necrophilia if they can still move" on page 4.  ("That seems a bit harsh" is also on the same wall, but can't really be read.)
