Juliette is played by Elizabeth Mitchell, who's done the rounds on CSI, ER, Law and Order and things of that nature generally, and not a whole bunch of MILF porn as I was secretly hoping.

Charlie's likely to go at some point this season is what I think.

Well I hope they explain his change in character and why he is acting like a snidey arse.

Isn't that just because he's given up the drugs (again)?

I think he was acting like a snidey because he had that massive misunderstanding with Claire and Locke. He is only really snidey with Locke and Ana Lucia if I remember. Especially Locke (he did hit him)

...Who else was he a twat to?

Purple Tentacle

Totem Hokum

Quote from: "Purple Tentacle"He did violently attack Sun.

Christ, so he did. I Forgot that. £10 bets that that'll come up at some point this season, resulting in more stalker/whiner wierdness between Charlie and Blaiugh (Claire). Just kill the twat off.

axel

Heroin addict becomes violent when denied any drugs shocker!
Think he could be one of the more interesting characters, but totally underused.

Anyway, as someone whose just finished watching Season Two on C4 and wants to watch the beginning of Season 3, where would I go to get hold of the two or three episodes so far? (Removed, read the rules)

Purple Tentacle

Nope, buying and selling is prohibited here.

Torrents are your friend.

Claude the Racecar Driving Rockstar Super Sleuth

Why did Charlie attack Sun? You'd think after he was kidnapped and almost murdered by Ethan he'd be take a dim view that kind of shenanigan.

Purple Tentacle

It was some convuluted plot of Sawyer's to get people to show him where the guns were, if I remember.

Whatever happened to Sawyer becoming Island Dictator? That was cool for about 5 minutes.

There's only been one episode in Season 3 so far, torrents are your best bet.

Marv Orange

Ok I know its early but the following is to do with this weeks ep.

Polite
Gap
actually
none of
this
will
spoil
the ep

So what do we learn this week?

1. If sawyer was in court for rape his defence would be 'she was asking for it did you see what she was wearing guv?'
2. Violence gets Kates lady part damp
3. Muscular men are cry babys and soppy fuckers.
4. The others have cloaking devices or can walk on water.
5. Lesbian other still want some of kates hairy mango.
6. Don't be an actor if you are korean and have a gammy eye as it makes it look like you are hamming it up.
7. Jack is either a pitcher or a catcher.

This next bit is a bit spoilery

As for the closing scene the look on Jacks face when presented with the evidence made me laugh. The impression i got was ' OOOOO nooooooo my whole world has changed and I've been gone 2 months.

Reminded me of all those time travel films in the 80's when the time traveller asks

'who the presidnet is?'

'Its ronald regan'

'WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!!?'

Little message from the writers to the audience at the end patience viewer patience.

19pack

For all you Charlie haters, this could be good news, depending on how seriously you take what the guy says in his interviews:

http://www.khaleejtimes.com/CityHome.asp?xfile=data/citytimes/2006/October/citytimes_October46.xml&section=citytimes&col=

...aparently 'whining' about fame and his role on the show.

Artemis

Just seen the new episode... an improvement on last week's for sure but they've still got to work on their cliffhangers. We already knew the Udders can 'send people home' - I'd prefer to hear something I don't already know.

Jin is still a nasty piece of work and I guess it's confirmed that Sun's child isn't his.

I had to laugh at Jack's face at the end..... The Redsocks won the superbowl?? Oh my God, everything's chaaaaaanged!!!!!!! Ben will send him back.... to the future!!

1.21 GIGAWATTS!!

PS I think I'm in love with Evangelina Lilly.

Ja'moke

SPOILER WARNING EVEN THOUGH I THINK ITS OKAY TO TALK ABOUT THE EPISODE IF IT HAS BEEN SHOWN ON AMERICAN TV

Surely that Red Sox thing was a shock to Jack due to his Dad saying "The Red Sox will never win the superbowl" or something along those lines, I think that's why he was so surprised because it seemed a bit strange and also he was probably shocked that 'the others' have contact with the outside world, he wasn't just shocked because he saw a baseball game lol.

Also I dont know if I'm looking into this wrong, but was we meant to think that Sun killed that guy she was having an affair with, because that's what I drew up in my conclusion of seeing her knock the glass balerina off the mantle piece as a child and then lying.

I thought the point of that was to introduce the fact that from an early age, Sun hasn't been entirely honest. I don't think she threw that guy she was sleeping with. It's fair to say he jumped, I'd say.

Claude the Racecar Driving Rockstar Super Sleuth

Sun was attractive enough without making her a black widow sex murderess.

Ja'moke

I just thought as well with the woman on the boat saying "Your not a killer Sun" then she shot her, that also kind of made me think that she might of pushed the guy off the balcony in order for Jin to never find out.

Quote from: "terminallyrelaxed"Where are the fecking torrents, then?
I'm not sure if we're allowed to say, are we?  But I did a search on a site where you can spy on torrents and found it there.  Currently at 27%.  At this rate hopefully I should be able to watch it later this evening.

Identity Crisis Ahoy!

And 'so I hunt' for torrents...

Good episode, great episode. Loads of good stuff.

Marvin

Torrentspy is good website, yes. (Unrelated that)

I can't use torrents at the moment and I hope Artemis won't object to me saying that he's a very wonderful and helpful young man.

Artemis

So are we to presume that by shooting that Udder woman, Sun has fucked it all up for all the Losties, by making them all enemies? What do you think would happen if they just said "ok, we co-operate"? Can the Udders be trusted? If all they needed was help doing something, why leave them 69 days before asking?

Custard

The trailer for episode 3, for those who d/l the episodes (as they don't come with it, annoyingly): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xa4-s6xOTkw

Looks like a belter.

Artemis

Given the nature of this thread and it's established rules, I cannot comment on that, except to say..... quite.

Marvin

Yeah I'm not going to comment except to say I'm looking forward to it because the flashback character is one who's previous flashback episodes have been some of my favourites.

Episode 2 was pretty good, although it felt a bit mid-season in places. It'd be interested if Jack actually did co-operate with the Others, I'd quite like to see that. Ben is an excellent character and he's a great actor, so I'm enjoying him being a regular, and I'm enjoying Juliette being a regular for entirely different reasons.

Ja'moke

Yeah the guy who plays Ben is a great actor, he also played Zeppe in Saw 1 didnt he.

I know I cant talk about the preview, but just going to say it does look awesome.

Hypnotoad.

But you just know that the preview showed you the 2 or 3 only exciting parts in the episode, asides from lots of unnecessary padding

Episode 2 could've been 20 minutes long for all that the show moved forward

Its an argument we had last series as well, but they really to string this out as much as they can possibly get away with

What do you want though, a video of all the answers being held up on flashcards?

Quote from: "Marvin."What do you want though, a video of all the answers being held up on flashcards?
From some of the foaming-at-the-mouth posts I've seen on some sites, that's pretty much what some people want.  The trouble is, they'll never be satisfied with the answers, no matter what they turn out to be, and because of that the producers are kind of knackered from the off.

I think they know that, if they reveal things too slowly, people will get bored and frustrated; if they reveal things too quickly, they'll be attacked for rushing it and not putting enough time and effort into coming up with satisfying explanations.  They've maintained throughout that they have it "mapped out" for five years, and I'm inclined to believe them, but only in so far that they know what the ending is, and what the key points along the way are - the gaps are filled in along the way, I think, and the trick in keeping people happy is to drip-feed them just enough to keep them going each time.

Some of the theories I've read have been interesting, some are just plain stupid.  While the "Seventh Seal" one is pretty well thought out, I think it might be far too "sci-fi" to be likely - a huge section of Lost fans seem to be in it for the adventure/mystery angle and might be pissed off at would they would construe as a cop out way of explaining the unexplainable.  But, hey, that's my theory.

Whatever happens, I'm just happy to go along for the ride ... I like to speculate, sure, I like to theorise about what might be happening, but I'm not going to get obssessive over when I get answers to all my questions.  As long as I know that the important ones will get answered, and that the answers will be as satisfying as one could hope for, I'm just going to enjoy the fact that I get to watch a show that keeps me both entertained and intrigued ... for once, it's nice to have something deeper to delve in to ...

Exactly. Ultimately it's a drama series, that's usually well-written and pretty well-acted (with the admitted exception of a few episodes and cast members) and yes the mystery and theories that surround it is one of the things that has set it apart from several other series, but the main idea is to enjoy it as a drama, not as a race to find out what's going on.
