Re Spelling 'Massachusetts.'  It's easy if you remember it's very like the rhyme for remembering how to spell Mississippi: "M, I DOUBLE S, I DOUBLE S, I DOUBLE P, I."

Except you change it to:  "M, A DOUBLE S, A, SINGLE C, H, SINGLE U, S, E, DOUBLE T, S.
