Started by Mr Flunchy, March 21, 2004, 06:26:47 AM

Previous topic - Next topic

Mr Flunchy

1. Ian Brown - F.E.A.R. - 8 Times
2. Leftfield - Afro-Left - 5 Times
3. Plump DJs - In Stero - 4 Times
4. the Smiths - London - 4 Times
5. Squarepusher - Cooper's World - 4 Times.

Seemed to me like an interesting idea for a topic.

sore bottom mum

I had a look and was startled and shocked to find I also had squarepusher at a number 5 placing. What does this mean?...

3. The Cure - Plastic Passion (John Peel) - 5 plays
4. Fun Boy Three - Our Lips are Sealed - 5 plays
5. Squarepusher - Tommib - 4 plays

note: It's Mother's Day today...

out of how many songs? those repeat play numbers seem pretty low, you can't like those songs that much. You pod people are lightweights, I've got a C90 tape with one song on repeat on both sides glued into my car stereo.

I haven't got a 'pod. My iTunes has 1680 songs at the mo, but you know how it is. Some you just play more often - it doesnt even have to be that much more often for them to be at the top of the list, no? Also, when I first come home/get up/turn on the computer, I'll usually kick off with one of about 20 songs, and then choose an album I haven't listened to in while, but those 20 songs cover pretty much any mood. Some of the songs in the 25 most played are crap, and just happen to be the song after one of my 20 top tracks, which naturally come a close second as I'm not that quick on changing changing the music.
I'm a manual iTunes person, don't really go for massive preselected playlists, bt kind of pick and choose as I go along....

Sam

At the moment:

Sting - Why Should I Cry for You
Richard Strauss - Morgen!
Danny Elfman - The Grand Finale (from the "Edward Scissorhands" soundtrack)
Nick Drake - Northern Sky
Alan Menken - A Whole New World (from the "Aladdin" soundtrack)

bill hicks

Winamp again for me:

1. Isis - The Beginning and the End
2. Botch - Afghamistam
3. Explosions in the Sky - Greet Death
4. Pig Destroyer - Mapplethorpe Grey
5.  Napalm Death - Contemptuous

lazyhour

Nice idea for a thread!  It doesn't really reflect my actual favourites, but here's mine from iTunes:

1. Rock n' Roll McDonalds (Wesley Willis cover) - The Shut-Ins (14 plays)
2. I Wish - Skee-Lo (14 plays)
3. The Breaks - MC Pitman (12 plays)
4. My Shaky Hand - The Kingsbury Manx (11 plays)
5. Four Damaged Lemons (For The Damaged Remix) - Blonde Redhead (10 plays)

Jet Set Willy

Mine's quite odd and I'm a bit confused, cos two are some of my favourite tunes ever, one is something I have played to friends several times, but two are completely odd and random things to be in the list! I will award a prize to anyone who knows which is which.

1: Super Mario Kart - Koopa Beach
2: Azzido de Bass - Dooms Night
3: Sir Mix-A-Lot - Baby Got Back
4: The Beach Boys - Surf's Up
5: Poj Masta - Latymer School Song Re-Fix

Frinky

The top one is so high becuase I'm learning it so I have to play along... the rest of the songs I just really, really like.

You've listened to it over 1000 times and still haven't got it?  Slow learner eh?

I don't think I've heard anything 1000 times...apart from Everything I Do (I Do It For You) back in 1991.

Frinky

Cheeky bastard. I was gonna say how they're actually two totally different songs, the first one is very good, the second version is the best song ever, but I thought not to. Now I have to.

And it's very hard. Leave me alone.

well done, it's another thread about lists.

Ps, mine are:

1: Psycho - The Sonics
2: Say Hello to the Angels by Interpol
3: Tribute by Tenacious D
4: The Bear - John Mayall
5: Invalid Litter Dept by At the Drive In

does anyone else find iTunes on Windows horrendously slow at ripping songs from a disc, even on a quick drive?

Not me.  I find it rips at hair-raising speeds (anything from 15x to 24x!)

MarmiteCarpenter

Since I got broadband at Xmas, I've pretty much had internet radio on 24/7, my pretty large mp3 collection has languished, gathering dust, and my top tune has been played a grand total of 7 times :( Anyways...

QBert - Razorblade Alcohol Slide
Tangerine Dream - Ziet
Rapoon - Apidah
Dj Flare - Urination
Steve Roach - Two Rivers Dreaming

1 - Daft Punk - Live on Radio 1
2 - Unknown - Sweet Georgia Brown
3 - Crank Yankers - Poo in Car
4 - Dead Kennedys - Advice from Christmas Past
5 - The 12th Man - Australia Vs Sri Lanka 1990

and I'm putting on my 6th as well, as the above looks crap.  But honest.

6 - Ananda Shankar - Snowflower

I hated accidentally wiping my drive whilst trying to set up a RAID system.....
had to start all over again.  Back up to 20, 136 and less than 40 cds to go - yay!
