We've all been over to Ogrish now haven't we? Personally i have a morbid fascination with death, although not necessarily murder.  We've all seen the clip of the girl running out in front of the train, that's snuff.  Tesco Value snuff maybe but snuff nonetheless.  Although they do say that a true snuff  film is when a person is killed purely so it can be filmed, so seeing someone die by way of an accident isn't the same thing.

Then 'they' say that being caught with  a snuff film is dodgier than having kiddie porn or smack, and i have to agree, nasty shit.  Fred West must have had a collection, it only stands to reason.  He had a mate who owned a pig farm, and, for a fee, you could gain entry to his house, or 'The Pleasuredome' as it was called.  It was filled with sorry, drug addled, souls being used as rapeholes or whatever the paying patrons fancied, then after their tenure had come to an end i assume they were dispatched into a trough. Horrific stuff.

Anyways, i feel that viewing the accident images and what not over at Ogrish also prepares me for the eventuality of being involved or witnessing a horrific accident.  I mean it really is all blancemange and sausages really, a soft machine as Burroughs said.

One of my first internet experiences consisted of a few torture clips.  The most disturbing of which consisted of an elderly, serene looking gent with a beard being roughly handled in a cell, he was told to hold his finger out, the cunt then put a gun on the tip of his finger and shot it off.  It then cuts to the guy lying weeping on the floor, he looks up the camera and then it ends.  My heart was breaking, it was horrible, it ruined my day, week, fuck it still makes me feel shit now, 7 years on.  I really wish i hadn't seen it, however it hasn't stopped me viewing other equally disturbing shit

Another night really stands out in my mind, some second war world war cameraman died, and they showed his brutal footage from the concentration camps, first time on british tv, all that sort of shit.  Usual fodder but much more so, piles and piles of bodies being bulldozed into mass graves, over and over and over.  Absolutely relentless, desensitising. I was at my grans at the time and she said she had seen it before when she was in training at the RAF.  They showed them this sort of stuff as part of their training process, which is fair do's i suppose.  Anyways i left my grans with a fresh copy of Animal Farm, which i had never seen before, got home and watched it and was shaken to the core.  A real double feature of siesmic proportions.  The sheepdog definitely had a smile on its face.

Anyways, i digress.  Who else occasionally pops over to Ogrish for a portion of 'reality'.  Has anyone seen an actual snuff movie?  Does it make you less afraid of death, or more so?

It's not real snuff if the person wasn't murdered for the purposes of the film. I also don't think it even counts if somebody's accidental death is filmed for the purposes of just filming it (for example, if somebody knew somebody would get killed by accident somehow, and decided to film it) Also, I'm pretty sure the person being murdered has to be consenting. ALSO[/i], I think the film has to be made for financial gain. It can't just be a personal stash. I think.

I've heard a theory that there has never been an actual snuff film made. There's plenty of fakes, some convincing, some not so convincing. But the CIA (or maybe the FBI, I forget) have claimed that they've never found a real snuff film. The possible reason for this is that there's just not any demand for it. Very few people in this world would get off on watching somebody murdered on camera purely for the sake of it and nothing else. So no trigger happy entrepreneurs are gonna see it as worth their time - they won't make enough money out of it. And even if they could, there's safer ways to make cash. They could get locked up forever if caught. So that just leaves perverts and general nasty-types. I'd imagine very few, if any of these types care much about snuff. It's more likely they just want to murder/rape like crazy.

That's because humans are scum. I've no problem with nasty stuff happening to people but the thought of kittens being tortured is most upsetting.
There are just too many people out there to really get upset about that sort of stuff.

I always presumed sites like Ogrish were frequented by teenage boys, and possibly a few stragglers in their twenties (most probably social outcasts). That's all i've got to say about it really. And i'm not sure there is a genuine link between Fred West and the proprietor of 'Piggy Palace' in Canada. Pen pals during the early 90s, perhaps?

Well it would be really unlikely. I dunno. Something like...a bloke who watches people walk past his street everyday sees the same woman walk by. Then one day she has an accident where she goes blind and everybody knows about it, it's been in the papers. There are also happens to be road works starting up on the side of the road. The bloke also knows that she doesn't like walking on three drains in a row because she thinks it's bad luck. So he watches her walk down the street, and then she feels the drains with her stick, goes to walk around them (and into the road) and she falls down the construction hole and dies. And he films it. Or something.

But that wouldn't count anyway.
