Which fictional character do you most identify with?

Mister Cairo

NOT the same as the "Favourite Fictional character" thread. Which character do you feel a sense of kinship with?

I'm reading the excellent Anthony Burgess' The Complete Enderby (a sexy penguin 20th centuary classic) and I recoginize in myself many of Enderby's traits. I like to be totally in control of my personal space, find relationships confusing and often cause big dramas after saying the wrong thing. I don't go to pubs on my own, but like Enderby I enjoy surveying the many characters in "local" pubs (I don't like big chain pubs like Weatherspoons). As of yet I have not had to flee the police, but it's only a matter of time.

Who do you read or watch and think "Yes, he's just like me"?

Santa's Boyfriend

bloodycheekymonkey

Mr. Analytical

He plays scrabble for arses.

"HAHA! 'Quixotic' on a triple word score... drop trou and say hello to my little friend!"

quadraspazzed

Larry David/Alan Partridge/Wolfie Smith

If you can imagine that

Most amusing.  Where is that from?

Ciarán2

In literature, Bartleby from "Bartleby, The Scrivener". He was a workshy fop!

Otherwise, Frank Spencer definitely. I even look a bit like him.

MojoJojo

Buster Gonads

Not because I have huge testicles you understand, but because people keep on hitting me in the crotch with a sledge hammer.

fanny splendid

Dusty Gozongas

Hmm. That's got me thinking about Shaky Mo. Haven't had the pleasure of his acquaintance for some time.

Cambrian Times

Marian Halcombe from "The Woman in White".

Ugly, but has a good heart.

Neville Chamberlain

Asterix

Small, fast, and shows great courage in defying the might of the Roman Empire!

Me all over, that is.

Little Hoover

You think your clever but he's not fictional.

But this isn't the place, and I can't be botherd debating this in the places we have for it, so just carry on without me.

Orias

Logan Mountstuart from "Any Human Heart"
Mike from "Swingers"
Miles from "Sideways"
Monsieur Hulot from Tati's "Les Vacances de Monsieur Hulot" and others
CC Baxter from "The Apartment"

Not the best role models for life, I grant you...

actwithoutwords

Can't believe no one has said Mark Corrigan yet. But yes, him, only without the sneaking regard for conservatism.

Oh... and him.  Especially when he was trying to make out with the student at Dartmouth.  That was me to a tee not three weeks ago.

Neville Chamberlain

Dr. Hannibal Lecter

Smooth, suave, sophisticated, and that's it.

Captain Crunch

Neville Chamberlain

The Pink Panther

Smooth, suave, sophisticated, and with an enormous long, pink tail.

neveragain

Jack Shaftoe

Martin Blank from Grosse Point Blank.

Apart from the ability to kill with a pen. Or my bare hands. Or indeed a gun. But other than that...

Morrisfan82

Part Philip J. Fry, part Eeyore.

With the heart of the Cuprinol man.

I'm just taking the piss now aren't I.
