It is.  As popularised by Goodness Gracious Me in the phrase "Kiss My Chuddies".  Whether it means those multi-coloured pantaloon things or the white wraparound cloth like a bum-turban I'm not sure.  The latter, I *think*.  Anyone?

I'm sure it's underpants, so it's the latter.
Chewing gum though, that's "Chuddy" in the singular, never not no way is it ever pluralised.
But as Messrs Farty and ye bongo are clearly on about summat else entirely, meh.
