What are these always in lenses - I've never heard of them before.

I have these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O2_Optix

They feel a bit thicker than daily disposables whilst on your finger, and perhaps in your eye at first, but I got used to them after a few days without any significant discomfort. Interestingly, if you leave them out (I just discarded a pair onto a shelf after their month, out of interest), they don't "dry out" like dailies; my dailies properly shrivelled up into a hard little husk after being discared, but these barely change. They're only 24% water as opposed to the 69% of my old dailies, which is presumably why.

Regarding the extended wear contact lenses, I wear the 'Focus: Night and Day' brand and find them so much more comfortable than the standad daily lenses that it's almost unbelievable. There was - I think - a previous contact lenses thread on here where I compared it to getting a pair of shoes that fit properly for the first time.
I'd reccomend them on those grounds alone, without even getting into the convenience of the things. They're brilliant.
