Fucking hell, you had me worried for a moment there.

buttgammon

Why did this prompt me to look at the BBC's website 'just in case'?

opyty

No need to panic. Relocation scheme already started...

buttgammon

That better hadn't be near me. The locals will go mad, Big bloody Ben obscuring our view of a nearby dual carriageway. Damn city folk.

Oscar

Well, I don't mind taking in a few tourists who need somewhere to dry off, but the politicians aren't coming in.

Pinball

Well at least it would make London homes affordable. Be quite funny to see where the best (i.e. highest) land is, namely church, castle etc. Presumably the East End would be the watery pit.

Oscar

So when imagining the widespread devastation of London, entailing a massive loss of lives, the destruction of many beautiful buildings and irreplaceable cultural artifacts, your immediate thoughts are of house prices. Really Pinball, I'm shocked. I may have to tut.

drberbatov

And of course you mean that.

I could honestly say that I wouldn't give a shit.

Cambrian Times

That's the weakest selling point for a town I think I've ever heard.

Affectively making terrorists unemployed

Santa's Boyfriend

The South Bank Show will have to be renamed "The Middle of the Thames Show".

Uncle TechTip

Yeah, it'd certainly put the wind up those stuffy Whitehall bureaucrats! See how they like a bit of flooding Doncaster-style!

Is there a Thames Barrier anywhere other than in London?

lactating man nips

Haven't you heard of the Cramlington Thames Barrier?

Santa's Boyfriend

There's a Thames Barrier in the Severn.

No, wait...

Sebastian Coe was a member of The Hallamshire Harriers athletic club, don't know if that  is any help?

surreal

That's a still from Robert Carlyle's new movie isn't it?  Talk about timing....
