A interesting read to say the least.

I always had a soft spot for Lewis & King of Comedy is one of my favourite films ever & Lewis is one of the last big 50's comedians left but it seems hes turned into Krusty the Klown.

Utter Shit

Yeah I read that earlier on today, he seems a bit up his own arse to be fair, talking about his role as a comic and that...reminiscent of David Brent going on about 'my comedy is like...'.

Then again, I'm just a boy (boi? I don't know nowadays), and have almost no knowledge of Lewis, perhaps his self-importance is justified.

Jemble Fred

I read that this morning. I actually felt physically threatened by Lewis in it, just from casting my eyes over a monitor. Scary man.

Not really, he was a great visual comic but it was as the other half of his partnership with Dean Martin that he was really well known for.

He was good but he's done nothing since King of Comedy thats even worthwhile & seems to be a nutter to say the least.

I wonder how many people he's had 'rubbed out'? Reviewers and the like. I bet 'Simon' cacked himself when he was given the task of interviewing Lewis.

TotalNightmare

Make Love the Jerry Lewis way...

With BOTH fists!

and actually.......

What was that film about the Clown he was NOT talking about? I remember something... but not a lot, about that film/documentary.

Neil

It's "The Day The Clown Cried" a never-released movie which has Jerry Lewis as a clown sent to a concentration camp for impersonating Hitler.  He eventually befriends a bunch of Jewish kids and is then given the task of leading them into the gas chambers.  Here's some interesting links, one of them has a newspaper report of a Jerry Lewis live function which makes for interesting reading.

I was going to upload some of his old prank calls but I can't find the disk they're on, ah well.

El Unicornio, mang

He does come across as a bit of an arse in that interview, saying how anyone who disses the queen/president is a moron.
He's been looking a bit on the porky side lately too:

Great in King of Comedy though

sproggy

Shit, he's turned into Bernard Manning.

abbot lau

he was OK in 'arizona dream' a few years ago (indie pic with Johnny Depp and Faye Dunaway) He played a total prick which is kind of how he came across in that interview.

-Ask me anything. Open house.

-The Day the Clown Cried?

- not that.

and what was all that about how it's OK to dominate someone if you're stronger than them?

Mister Six

El Unicornio, mang

Yes. It was third along last time I looked, it's second now.

lactating man nips

I saw him on um richard and judy the other day and he did seem very self important. He was in some bizarre film with lee evans set in blackpool, I remember it being rather good.
