Originally started on the Drowned In Sound forum, maybe it's been done here before I don't know. Here's a thread a friend of mine started, it's actually a lot of fun drawing them so give it a go!

RULES:
- Do not post the artist or album title, not even in a spoiler. Mask them by writing 'BAND' and 'ALBUM' or something similar in the style of the cover's design (To avoid confusion, do not mong albums by The Band). It's up to the rest of the VWs to guess what album it is.
- STRICTLY MS PAINT - 300x300 pixels!!

Here's an easy one to get you going:

fuck, you ruined mine. Good idea this though

Clone Army

Now you see I feel bad for ruining what has clearly cost you a great deal of your time.

I was thinking of going for The Charcoal Foreskin album too.

Erm.... aren't we supposed to guess before we rush in and post our own?

It took months to paint it. I've been waiting ever since for someone else to begin a thread like this so it didn't seem like I was showing off by leading with it.

Post whatever, the joy of quoting will allow specific guesses to albums still not answered.

Part Chimp

It's times like these that I wish my Mac had such shitty software installed on it. Oh well.

jaydee81

OK... don't come crying to me when you spend hours painting something which forever lays ignored....

Are we guessing?

If so, 'Give 'Em Enough Rope' by The Clash. A very good job too.

Marv Orange

same colour scheme different album

buttgammon

Maybe, if I can do anything good enough. I've been mucking about a bit in Paint since I saw this thread, so I'll see.

I'm racking my brains now as to what album covers have the same colours as Give 'Em Enough Rope...

It'll only end up like that anyway so I figured start as you mean to inevitably end.

Primus Frizzle Fry

I can't quite get Mrs Trousers' one though. I'm pretty sure I'll know it when I see it.

Just to get a couple of 'funny' ones out of the way.

and

Oh my sides.

Seriously though.

XXXXXX

All of these are actually really good!

However...76 seconds and no artistic ability whatsoever =

Fucking hell that is amazingly terrible.

It's a bit simplified. And by rights it should have been 'artist name' not band I s'pose.
