Well it took its sodding time, but here's yer Torque TV:

Don't forget SOTCAA's rather useful version-changes-detailing transcript
(Plus a big thanks to them for actually turning it up in the first place, obviously)

Ballad of Ballard Berkley

"Sometimes the awfulness is so great you forget your own pants."

Many thanks Beck. That really brightened up my morning.

Yeah cheers for this Beck!  Nice to see it again.

I found the old SOTCAA Brass Eye edit news page - here (thanks for the archive.org link to the old site!) - still interesting reading.  Shame the updated version alluded to on that other thread never saw the light of day.

lipsink

Many thanks for that. That was something special.

"Before their minds had been polluted by man's rubbish."

Like others have said, seeing new BrassEye stuff reminds you of what it was like to be completely in awe of Morris.

I had to pause the 'animal mingle' bit because I get missing bits from laughing.

Neville Chamberlain

This thread's reminded me I really ought to visit this section of the forum a bit more. So good to be laughing so hard at Morris material again, something I haven't done since, oooh, about 1998.*

Thanks, Darles!

* Well obviously I've watched Brass Eye, Day Today, Jam, etc etc umpteen times since, but you know what I mean!

amoral

Thanks for that Beck. I especially enjoyed the extended Dr. Kwattes/London Mingle stuff. And isn't that the uncontrollably giggling (and adorable) young woman from I'm Alan Partridge?

Ballad of Ballard Berkley

Yes, it's devoutly Christian comic actor Sally Phillips.

Hmm...less adorable.

Little Hoover

It's just dawned on me, I probably have a better chance with Sally Phillips than just about anyone else on here.

Not me, I'm Jesus.

Ambient Sheep

I thought Lookalike Mark Chapman was Jesus?

Marty McFly

Two weeks ago they read about 'Karla', and East-German elephant who'd been so upset about captivity she'd stuck her trunk in her anus. In seconds a campaign was born. Press-releases flew out like fishspawn and Fox and Dean hammered the phones...

WRITING BOARD WITH TWO COLUMNS - ONE HEADED 'OUR PEOPLE' - GARY WILMOT, ALAN TICHMARSH, SIMON MAYO, MARTIN AMIS, SARAH GREENE, JILLY COOPER. THE OTHER HEADED 'DO NOT CONTACT, NOEL EDMONDS (UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES)', 'DREW', 'KEEP TRYING: CHRISTOPHER REEVE [FOREAEAIS]'

absolute genius. many thanks for this!

Not me, I'm Jesus.

But Jesus isn't going to come back down to earth just to marry Sally Phillips, he just wouldn't, and if he did there's women out there even more attractive than her.

I'm vindictive, spiteful Jesus.

Dragon

I was watching the "Sex" episode yesterday, and I noticed that during the interview that replaced the Sullivan interview (isn't even present on the DVD!), random words are blanked out with cake music clips (even burring out his mouth). Could this be a response to the interview being removed?

Beck

Do you mean Peter Tatchell? The frog noises bit?

Entropy Balsmalch

They'll have been bleeped out probably by Morris or Talkback - and if not, by the insistence of the Channel as the remarks are libellous - Mandelson hadn't come out at the time.

Also, it's funnier with the noises - and makes the confused expression on Tatchel's face at the end seem even more confused.

Glebe

Yeah, that 'querty-querty' noise is hilarious.

i always assumed it was references to michael portillo that were being censored, (although i've no idea why i assumed that)

That's exactly what it is. The uncensored clip is on page two of this very thread.

You're quite right - my mistake in the above post - for it was Portillo that I meant.

ah so it is. I've never seen the uncut version before, splendid stuff

Guy

Sorry to bump this old thread, but I've only just stumbled across these Brass Eye unused scenes (posted by Michael Cumming), via a Google search today.

However, this brief effects gag doesn't seem to be mentioned herein, I wondered if it was widely known about:

The Drug Myth Exploded

Brightened up my Friday anyway!

For those who can't be arsed to dig through the thread, here are the other clips:

David Sullivan on porn

Golf caddy abuse

And while we're at it, here are the Brass Eye location photos, sourced from the slideshow on Michael Cumming's site (and previously talked about in this thread but weren't displayed in full AFAIK):
