Making a better future with Lego

Frinky

(broadband was down yesterday... I got desperate)

In clearing out my old junk I came across a few old bits of Lego. It took me all of 20 seconds to realise that Lego is still The Ace... Within moments I'd designed the Frink Industries Rapid Response DropShip, this particular model being available to the Police, with slightly upgraded models available for, ahem, private uses. Let us see the prototype in action!

The front of our incredible craft! This unit features a single blaster cannon with tracking unit, mounted to the bow of the craft, just in front of the windows.

This rear shot shows the two 3/4-mount equipment racks, designed to hold Police Hover Bikes (Wheeled models shown), as well as the Frink Industries Hov-Me-Do Hover Engine. The "Lego" Flag appears incongruous now, but in the future, corperate sponsorship of the Police is an everyday reality.

The payload in this instance is designed for Police uses - however, models can be custom made to accommodate whatever machinery the discerning militant may require - including additional arms platforms!

There's not much space on board this ship - but this is no cruise liner! The Frink Industries RRD requires two crew - one Pilot who also doubles as a Gunner, and one Lookout/Technician, who has a special vantage point from the Crows Nest. The Technician helps with speedy unloading and deployment of the RRD's forces and vehicles. To match the payload of the vehicle, there are two of our finest Police Officers on board, ready to extinguish the fire of injustice! You go, boys!

Our RRD heads towards the troublespot, at a top speed of 3,000 Frinks Per Hour.

It's no time to lose when the RRD touches down! The officers jump off, exiting via the Frink Industries Door (TM), while the pilot keeps a lookout. Meanwhile, Ms Technician unloads the Bikes. Be careful there, Missy - You don't want to break a nail!

Due to it's nature, the RRD is a lightly armed Recon craft - so it must flee the area should it come under any fire...

...not that they will in this case - it looks like our boys will keep this island well under control!

Good job, crew!

(you do some. Go on.)

For some twisted reason, I really liked that Frinky!  I wish I had some lego to play with now. You've made me all jealous.

I think the transportation problems faced by that island is very similar to the ones here in the UK, too many vehicles, not enough space!

I was more a playmobil man myself (not really, that would make me some sort of sissy) not work safe

He, He that's ace.  Makes a novel change from the usual lego brick stuck up a nose or in the ear.

fanny splendid

The beatles got up to some jolly scrapes, didn't they?

PhuckNose

Nice to see gynaecologists have advanced from the days of the 'stainless steel platypus' for extracting a smear...

Good thing, too...what woman would be worried by that?

She'd leave with a smile on her face!

Lt Plonker

That's tremendous. The colour scheme leaves much to be desired, but an all round functional little craft. I'll definatelty have to dig our my Lego airport when I'm home for the summer.

Is it me, or are the Lego sets they sell now days really, really shit? I haven't seen an Octan tanker around for years. It's all pre moulded Harry Potter and Star Wars guff.

Elliot

I suppose you've seen these lego boys in action before....
For those who havent..........

Camberwick Carrot? (No, doesn't really work, does it?)

Good Stuff Elliot.

And those Escher ones are great, aren't they, @ssmaster?

I once made a Lego Optimus Prime, that was able to transform between a robot and a lorry cab, in almost the exact same manner as the 'real' thing.

Sadly, I have no photos, so you'll just have to not believe me.

I found this a few weeks ago. Enjoy.

(is work safe, as long as your bosses don't find the torture and execution of Lego men enough to sack you)

Looks like Lego Street Preachers has gone under, I liked that site.

Hey Frinky, get your cock out mate ...

From this Japanese page. Heh - check out the spelling in the filenames. "Derorian."

El Unicornio, mang

That's ace!

There's a big Lego shop in the Downtown Disney part of town here, and outside they have an enormous tub full of lego, and tables to make stuff on. I hadn't done lego for years and spent about an hour trying to build a flying car. I then realised I was surrounded by 6-year old kids and decided I better leave before I got arrested.
They could never do that in Blighty, the little scummer kids/heroin addicts would just nick all the pieces.

Or make a large crack pipe if they were feeling creative.

Roy Castle used to play a tune on a bit of lego.
