I can't work out how you can sell a script called 'Pride and Predators' (I found out about this script a few months ago, because I've been pitching my own Austen genre movie outline, and people seemed annoyingly unfazed by the idea), because the first thing that would have to go is the title, surely, if it's about predatory xenomorphs, what with 'Predator' being copyrighted. So the obvious selling point could never make it on to the final posters.
Elton/Furnish's only previous film: not-good bodyswap comedy 'It's A Boy/Girl Thing', so not a great track record really. Not that I'm jealous or anything.
Mine was taking Austen's three unfinished novels, and imagining she'd got bored with social romances, and decided to write a Bourne Identity-style trilogy of conspiracy thrillers. Only still set in 18th C England obviously. I still think it's a cool idea.
