Jon Stewart destroys Christopher Hitchens (and the War on Terror) on The Daily Show in 2005 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gI3g3z36y8Q

I know it's not good to speak ill of the dead, but Hitchens was a right cunt.

Two brilliant men, both flawed like all humans. Was nice to see.

Hitchens was a rare breed of straight-talking intellect, the likes of which the world currently does not have, to my knowledge.

Of course it does, it's just that they're not famous and so people don't know that they're supposed to say that they're good.

The guy was an astonishing debater. He could hand anyone's ass back to them, using their own debate as ammunition.  If there are people out there as good as him, with as correct opinions as he had, then I wish they were famous so I could say how good they are.

Straight talking? He's a polemicist, in many of his debates - especially the ones on the War on Terror/Iraq - he uses all sorts of duplicitous devices (and injects some factoids he definitely made up) that are the antithesis of 'straight-talking'.

No question - his performances were mesmerising and the amount of knowledge he had on instantly accessible reserve was impressive as.

Irredeemable cuntshower James Delingpole gets absolutely destroyed on his bullshit climate change positions by a rational, reasonable and really quite endearing scientific silver fox - http://youtu.be/36Xu3SQcIE0.

Watching him stop in his tracks and squirm at points, and try to basically explain that, despite knowing absolutely nothing about the science of climate change, and never having read an actual academic paper on the subject, he's still in a position to criticize the science behind it, has made my week. And it's only Monday.

Now THAT'S a good 3-D TV.  Really feels like you're there.

The creators of this terrible advert clearly hoped the relatively scantily clad women would distract from the banality of the subject matter. In reality, they couldn't even stop the woman on the right from twiddling her thumbs and inexplicably finding something amusing about the number of homes that can't be reached by DSL and cable half way through.

Peter Kay had a full five minutes on lyrics he'd pretended to have misheard too. It was shit then and it's shit now.

I turned it off when it reached Addicted To Love / A Dick In A Glove. Whoever misheard that should have had their ears chopped off. Extreme, perhaps, but that's what you get if you annoy me very slightly.

I can see why they cut it initially; the joke doesn't really stretch to the running time.

Excellent channel, though. 'Eye of the Sparrow' is really quite something.
