Heyy how come the yanks get a great trailer like that but the BBC here insist on broadcasting the rabbit hole one every 2 minutes?

Talulah, really!

I kept wondering who Moffat reminded me of and watching that it came to me. Fan-Dabi-Dozi!

Stephen Moffat, shown here with Karen Gillan's stunt double.

VegaLA

Uggh!
Spoiler alert
RTD era Cyberman? I was really hoping for the old style.

What a disapointment.

Jemble Fred

Don't you mean 'modern era' though? This is still New Who in the 21st Century.

biggytitbo

Spoiler alert
I think the cybermen are not 'back' as such. The word is they're meant to be part of some sort of Pandora's box of baddies so might only make a cameo appearance.

VegaLA

Yeah, that would make sense biggytitbo as their 'fate' was sealed in Doomsday.
That said, I did notice during the trailers that

London's skies was decorated with blimps

which made me think of
Spoiler alert
The age of steel, but no, that parallel universe was closed off and he wouldn't.

Would he?

Well, they came back in the fourth christmas special... plus... well, its the bloody cybermen! The second most famous monster from old Who. They'll certainly be back at some point.

Santa's Boyfriend

I thought there weren't supposed to be any spoilers in this thread!

Yes, and what in the world is a Cy-ber-maaan? I can't wait to find out.

Hitler is an old school Doctor Who fan

These normally arent very funny but this one is quite good...
HAHA! That is the best one. The Tom Baker line floored me. :)

They're barrage balloons not blimps. Like the one Rose took a lift on during "The Empty Child"

The Roofdog

I feared Smith was just going to be Tennant-lite, but I'm really liking him in these clips. Mainly because he isn't SHOUTING.

"I keep telling you, Dudley Simpson is nearly ninety" got a big LOL out of me

I missed those interview clips from the old Doc thread until just now. Smith comes across very well in them, you get a sense from his excitable speech patterns and slightly mad professorial air why Moffat thought 'yeah, that guy' when he auditioned, despite initially thinking he wanted an older actor than Tennant. I'm really looking forward to these now.

biggytitbo

BBC's new Doctor WHo site. http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/dw/

A lot nicer to use and better layed out that the cacky overly-fussy 10th Doc site.

SOTS

The countdown thing is wrong though. Diddums.

It's a countdown to them showing the first minute of the episode on the website (I think)

Sounds very series 1 RTD doesn't it? Not that that's a bad thing. This is presumably the one with the

giant star whale.

Ballad of Ballard Berkley

You're right, it does a bit. Incidentally, I've just put that quote in spoilers as I forgot this was the no spoilers thread, even though it has "no spoilers" in its fucking subject heading. Apologies to anyone who read it.

Haven't both Smith and Moffat been raving about

I came here to post that, so I'll use this as a bump.

Programme starts at 10.40pm apparently.

Melody Lee

What a lovely interview, extended trailer and new clip. There's something utterly perfect about Matt Smith's 11th Doctor. Very Troughton-esque while also being clearly very new and unique.

*is excited*

I agree.

The library card with the Hartnell photo was a nice touch, I thought

HappyTree

My brother is a...-gulp-...Who Sceptic. He thinks it's childish rubbish. Not that he watches it, mind. He currently has a 3 year-old and I think it's highly irresponsible to raise him in a Who-free household. Plus bro is just starting to show signs of cracking under the relentless Who PR machine.

What can I do/say to convince him to join us in our worship?
