To this day I still use the phrase 'Top Quality Luggage' when things are going my way.

That, and a minor incident the other day, prompted me to think about this. I was doing some washing up in my mate's (shared) kitchen in halls, singing the underwater theme from SMB 1-3. Some chick came in but I decided to keep going. She quickly picked up the tune and we carried on for a good few more bars in an exaggerated operatic style. Was pretty good fun. I'm smiling now thinking about it.

Another thing I can't help but do (I can help it, I imagine) is say 'Ahhhh! Not enough caaaaassshhhhh!' like the dude out of Resi 4 when I realise I need to go the bank.

And you?

You remember when the fat Police Chief in the original APB went "Arf arf arf, thankyou very much, well done!" when you completed a mission?

Yeah, that.

Shoulders?-Stomach!

When Halo first came out and I went hiking I always used to imagine a few elites charging at me from over the brow of some hill, whenever I got a bit bored. I didn't go so far as to pretend shoot them but I was looking around for 'cover', which is probably worse if anything.

The general horror movie feel of the first encounter of the flood was unpleasant enough that I found it difficult to get to sleep after playing that level and The Library, after 3 solid hours of fending off squelchy things trying to eat me.

My back yard at night has very similar environs to the courtyard in Resident Evil 2, so whenever I walk towards the side door I always imagine the screen going black. We also have plant pots with herbs in in the corners of the patio.

While playing Morrowind I often pondered the general amorality of it all, and whether like Morrowind, if I could get away with stealing stuff if a little Sneak icon appearred in the corner of my vision, I would.

There's a church spire on pretty much every corner in Edinburgh, and I've plotted the way I would scale each one of them Assassin-style. If only someone would leave a haybail for me to drop into, I'd be able to manage it.

Still Not George

Cerys' new hairstyle has led to an overwhelming urge to run her and her equally-bald friend over with a single handbrake skid, to gain the prized "GOURANGA!"

Similarly when I go into town there's a large sign on a bridge that says GOURANGA. I think the exact same thing nearly every time I go past it, or when I go past a gang of Elvis impersonators.

I used to say "Lets go Mr Driver" everytime I was in a car for about a year after playing far too much Chase HQ in the arcades.

I find that getting beaten at Street Fighter 4 online does wonders for my inflated self-esteem.

GOURANGA

I always think of it when going past Hare Krishna's, or indeed a line of anything. School children being escorted on a day trip, for example.

Bloody christ that was a good game.

VegaLA

I run around Shopping Malls pretending everyone is a zombie and wants to eat me. i find I get my shopping done much faster.
Not sure if that was the influence of 'Dead Rising' or the film 'Dawn of the Dead' (the original of course).

Still counts though right?

You know how in NSMB Wii when the music goes "M-wah wah waaah!" and some of the characters in the game stop walking and do a little dance?

When they have an advert for NSMB Wii playing on the television in my local Sainsbury's (it's in the game aisle), and I hear the music, I sometimes stop walking and do a little dance.

About three people have found this funny so far, twenty or so people have given me odd looks and one security guard has followed me round the store for the rest of my shop.

Cheeky Monkey

After playing Skate continuously for about a week whenever I would venture outside for a few minutes the world would appear to consist entirely of ledges to grind, obstacles to ollie and 'gaps'.

In my life so far, I have remained on an actual skateboard for a sum total of 15 seconds. And I've tried to get on one at least twenty times.

Cerys

I remember, when I'd been playing the original Tomb Raider, looking out of the second-floor kitchen window, seeing a broken slate on the ground below and thinking, 'I don't remember killing that bat'.

More recently, a vomiting newborn Bethan produced Chunders, Chundaras, Chundagas, and on one memorable occasion a Chundaja.

Claude the Racecar Driving Rockstar Super Sleuth

After playing Metal Gear Solid 3 for a bit I found myself trying to walk as quietly as possible when in the woods.

Luckily for pedestrians everywhere I can't drive, so the only influence Grand Theft Auto has had on me is over my musical tastes. I got into Soundgarden and Faith No More thanks to San Andreas.

Do what I do. Keep a red key in one part of the house for your red door, and blue and green keys elsewhere for their corresponding doors.

Just make sure you get the combination right or you have to call the fire brigade, especially embarrasing if small children have been locked in.

Whenever sex goes wrong, I tell the girl: "I can't use these two things together."

Lee Van Cleef

Sometimes when I'm triumphant in my life I go "Diddly doooo!" like Mr. Ribs from Grabbed by the Ghoulies, in this video at 3:45.

While looking for that I came across this video:

And was quite amused at the cry of "Rape" around 1:20.

Depressed Beyond Tables

I have a tendency to shepherd lemmings into lantern-lit doorways by assigning them different tasks.

Big Jack McBastard

I wish I had an 'X' button to skip boring conversations.

If I've got Last FM on I find myself wanting songs to be on Guitar Hero constantly. God damn Rock Band library is immense grrrrr.

Explaining to police that it's just 'MedX' that I'm on doesn't cut it.
