QuoteTRIBUTE TO CASPAR POUND

Silver Planet wishes to pay tribute to a great artist, producer, DJ and owner of
the successful 1990's label Rising High - a true character, unique in every
way. Caspar Pound passed away last Friday at his home. Only 33,
his life was cut short by a cancerous tumour on the brain.

Friends, lovers, acquaintances, even rivals and others will undoubtedly
remember him fondly for the person that he was - rude but wonderful.
One could not help but love him.

Caspar will continue to live through his music and in the
hearts of people who were lucky enough to know him.

May he rest in peace

From: http://www.silverplanetrecordings.com/

I'll never forget his appearance on the MTV history of Acid House, where he said "I want to meet that man at Roland who invented that little silver box that makes all those twiddly acid sounds, if he patented that sound, he'd have royalties for a million acid house records" referring there to the legendary Roland TB-303 Bassline.

RIP Caspar

Here's to hoping there's a 303 for you in heaven...

He must've been quite young when he started putting records out. I remember those chill out or die comps from years ago.
In fact, my mate had the first cover on a t-shirt:

I've got volume 2 which has a gawdawful cover but some lovely music. I'll need to dig that out.

Quoterude but wonderful.

When I've had a shower I'm gonna wear my "YOU'RE GOING HOME IN A FUCKING AMBIENCE" top in my own tribute to him.
