Buying pharmaceutical items (and contact lenses) online...

I seem to remember someone was on here talking about this not too long ago and I wondered if anyone had any advice.

I've been looking on Google at various websites (some of them incredibly dodgy looking) for contact lenses.  It's all a bit bizarre... often they only stock lenses in certain sizes and eye curvitures that don't match my prescription exactly, just almost (such as only being out by a factor of 0.1).  Other sites are amateurishly designed, and just seem a bit suspect.

Also, my girlfriend needs to get hold of some more anti-hystemines, and a far cheaper way would be doing it online via China or somewhere on the sly.

However, I know I'm diving into the deep end here... so given how hooked some of you are to the Internet, have you any advice?  Is this deeply dangerous behaviour, or are we likely to come to very little harm whatsoever by just sticking to our usual prescriptions as closely as possible and using a reputable site?  And do any of you have any recommendations, because this would make travelling around much easier?

Thanks.

I guess not much use for Australia, but two good UK online pharmacies (where you can buy Over The Counter medicines) are www.pharmacy2u.co.uk and www.allcures.com.

daves, if you're travelling, why not either buy a bulk lot, which shouldn't take up too much place, or carry your prescription round from city to city, popping into opticians as and when needed.

But surely your inbox is bursting with kind "No morree emmbarrassing trips to the Doctor's!! Order heere for $9.47" emails?

Dave - why don't you just admit you're buying Viagra.....

Actually I've bought drugs online, but I don't think I can help you for your dirty wares.
I was buying super ultra expensive skincream to help unfuck me skin.
It was all fine and dandy the only problem being that the chemical is so expensive I barely want to use it, so it sort of backfired -Tacrolimus if you give a shit

My girlfriend certainly might.  Does it treat allergic skin reactions or incredibly dry skin?
