So I came across this on Kotaku and, despite not believing a single word of it, wanted to share this story with you chaps and chapettes.

Now, whether you believe it or not is pointless at this point, I was just taken in by the effort this person used to piece this story together.

It makes me wonder... Have there been any other stories like this... with haunted or cursed videogames?

Once upon a time, it was a haunted clock or painting - but these days its all haunted iphones and videogame carts. I blame J-Horror.

Great link (pun not intended), someone's really gone to the effort to mock that whole thing up (It's obviously complete bull and nothing a bit of hex/level/video/audio editing can't reproduce but good effort all the same !). The only other thing I can think of is the case a while ago of a supposed haunted NES: http://www.1up.com/do/feature?cId=3139781

There's another one about a haunted Pokemon game which is pretty good. I think most of these spawn on 4chan and then get meme'd around in various forms.
