Is this really good news? I don't think the real problems were with the monthly fee system, just the extortionate prices. Apparently the prices are still pretty bad for the short term "rentals".

I don't think it's available outside of West coast USA at the moment, since you need to be geographically near the data centre, so people in Europe are probably not taking too much interest in it at the moment. I thought they'd scrapped the console for the time being, though.

From what I've read you need an uninterrupted ultra fast and stable internet connection. Rules a lot of people in this country out. The death of gaming consoles is a long way off yet.
