Yeah, your childhood memories are due a Russel Brand Hollywood remake!

I can't see it happening but if so you've been warned. Personally i'm cool with it, if they remain loyal to the original characters it could be a laugh.

Jemble Fred

What it really needs is for the TV show theme to be included, but as performed by Jarvis Cocker.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

What they/Brand have done is taken the rights to the name and the central idea of an agency for ghosts and that's it.  It will of course be completely devoid of the pantomime sensibility that it's known for and instead be given the big CGI treatment and a script laced with Hollywood ironic humour.

Oh and Will Ferrell will probably be in it.

Even so, I reserved to be horribly disappointed when Jarvis Cocker doesn't cover the TV theme.

As long as the neighbours have got the medalion that grants wishes, I'll be happy.

I quite like the idea for some reason.

For years I thought Kenny Everett was the jester.

It was done quite well as The Frighteners.

I love that film. It deserved to do much better than it did.

Dobbin could be the new Seabiscuit or Secretariat or whatever.

As much as i'd like Brand to stay away from all media for a thousand years, it seems odd that they'd cast him as Fred Mumford instead of Timothy Claypole - he's got the wanky-wanker jester persona nailed, plus he's got the beard.

I don't know what to say other than cunt.

lipsink

Never seen the show but the jester in the photograph looks like Kevin Eldon.
