Wow, I was skipping along apple trailers and came across this;

http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/fox_searchlight/thetreeoflife/

This looks bloody amazing. His signature cinematography seems to be stepping up a level. I am full of hope for this film. Does anyone else have any sources for this?

Oh, and please post any cool trailers for new films in here.

Anyway, trailer for Your Highness, epic stoner movie featuring James Franco, Danny McBride, and Natalie Portman:

At last! Obligatory US Father Issues LCXXIV!

Eh? well it might have been done by others. I doubt Malick will take the usual path in telling the story. Everyone thought The Thin Red Line was going to be just a war film..

That looks fucking awful...

Jesus.  Franco and Portman's careers were going quite well.

Was that Toby Jones I saw for a moment, there?

Ja'moke

It doesn't look too good I must admit, but I like James Franco in anything, so I'll be watching (downloading) when it comes out.

This looks like fun

FYI. I tend to get all my trailer info. from this thread from another forum. The guy who posts the info. is very good.

and McBride, now doing his best Matt Berry impression.

I can't quite believe how bad that Your Highness trailer is. It's basically one small step up from Meet the Spartans level, but somehow they've got a B/A list cast. Were they all paid in rare Columbian exports or something? I might cut it some slack if it were some kiddie flick like Just Visiting, but this is for big boys with swearing and a fairly respectable actress in a thong, from a fairly respectable director whose last film was (IMO) actually quite funny.

On the plus side, I'm quite impressed by that Kevin Smith trailer, which is something I never expected to say

non capisco

Yeah, it's a bit of a swerve from 'Cop Out'. I'm actually quite excited to see that, and I haven't been able to say that about a Kevin Smith film for at least a decade. Not only is the subject matter potentially intriguing some of those shots actually looked, well, cinematic.

Gulftastic

Chalet Girl

I'm still not convinced that this isn't a spoof.

I've also seen a porn film of the same name, which doesn't help. Although I'm betting this new film doesn't feature a four girl outdoor golden shower scene.

Famous Mortimer

It's a bit weird seeing Chuck Bass off of Gossip Girl doing his real accent. But that looks like about one million other films, down to the beats, the casting, the blah blah fucking blah.

lipsink

This looks fucking awful. One for the crap titles thread too.

From your description, I guessed that was going to be Cowboys & Aliens.

I know it's going to be rubbish, but that trailer just makes it all so tempting. That will be all the action that's in the film, probably.

Oh, and "I Am Number Four". Dianna Agron off of Glee doing action movie stuff!

True Grit looks very nice.

Reminds me very nicely of read dead redemption which is not a bad thing.

A screener copy of that has already leaked. Uh, so I heard.

I'm looking forward to it personally, especially after I read an interview with Cage where he said he tried to "get [his] tongue into the audience". See, that's what 3-D should be used for.

A quick scour of the usual places has revealed lots of apparent screeners having thumbs down as fakes.

I was going to mention True Grit, February for cinema release I think.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to Sucker Punch for 3 reasons - the eye candy, the eye candy(!) and to see how something tha looks so packed in the trailer can possibly be anything other than a huge mess.

Did I mention the eye candy? (mmm... Abbie Cornish....)

And Scott Glenn playing Spock, of course.

Was wondering about a bit in the Green Hornet ad:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9btZIK3Obpg

Surely there's no point in blowing up the camera cos the tape is somewhere else. All you're doing is adding to the speeding fine by blowing up the camera.

chocky909

Has anyone posted about this film yet? It's Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's new film and it looks well shit.

Extraordinary. Looks for all the world like one of those spoof trailers that comedy shows sometimes run as a joke in their ad breaks. I'm guessing Grindhouse voice over man was drafted in when everyone realised how shit and amateurish it looked. Not even a really great Eels song can save them.

chocky909

I assume it's from the Director of the remake of My Bloody Valentine. Wow that film was dull.

Jemble Fred

Hammer's next one looks brill to me. Admittedly an entirely hoaky set-up, but it reeks of quality – not just because of Sir Christopher's presence...
