Some quality typography there.

It's almost like she's daring me to dislike it.

Some quality typography there.

It's a shame it's straight, or it would remind me more of the toilet graffiti from the bogs at my old Architecture School, quite a bit of which was done in Letraset.

Some quality typography there.

This is like a full page ad in an edition of The Face from around about 1999 reworked to the dimensions of an album cover.

NoSleep

Looks more like the cosmos is fleeing from them.

Love that neneh cherry one

Gulftastic

When you wake up with a terrible hangover and go downstairs to find out who's house you're in.

I've had that for over 20 years and never noticed how bad it is.  Mind you, a) it was the cassette and b) I don't think I listened to it more than once.

Actually, I think the typography is quite good.

The typography on the inner sleeve is bloody awful to read though:

Percy can't take the blame for this one, it was designed by Cally Callomon at Antar (ex drummer for The Bears and The Tea Set, and one-time manager of Julian Cope), presumably on an off day as he's usually pretty decent. He's currently the designer for Bill Drummond's Penkiln Burn (which no doubt makes Cope very happy).

This leapt out at me at a record fair yesterday.

Oof, that's properly "just in case you forgot, I also did Led Zep IV"

Isn't this surprisingly shit, when you think about it? Yes, MJ, just stand in front of this wall with a bit of a thing on the side and pose like a car park dogger caught in a police spotlight.

BlodwynPig

They couldn't even be bothered to chalk the wall.

A contemporaneous episode of TOTP had a crude graphic of that leaping downwards onto one of the DJ's heads when they were introducing a Sayer performance. It looked shit.

Have we done Ace Frehley?

Sooooo..... the song is called Ace Frehley Into The Night, by Frehley's Comet?

It "features artwork from award-winning photographer Wolfgang Tillmans", apparently.
Any of you Londoners want to venture a guess for the location of the shoot? Those houses look pretty diistinctive.

Not mine, but...

NoSleep

It's a little further to the left, nearer to the corner of Elkstone Road and Edenham Way. The blue bus stop symbols are way out of line and you can see the bus stop lanes (and the shelter) in the satellite picture.

The person who made that has already been informed and corrected it:

Nightjar

Excuse me, but I did not edit the image after I was informed the arrow point was a little awry.

I was challenged on another forum to locate where the picture was taken and it took me about three seconds.

I took a quick screenshot, edited it in Preview, realised my mistake and corrected it quite literally before time began.

So quickly in fact that I still haven't realised I did it.

Also, that's my manor.

Don't tell your grandmother how to suck cock.

So there.

Bloody cheek.

I'm going to use this as the cover of an album called Neneh Cherry Are Standing Here.

And this is going to be the tracklist.

Ah, can't beat people who add stuff to Discogs without reading the rules then get arsey when their submissions are picked apart.

Brundle-Fly

Have we done Robert Palmer yet?

Quite literally in an alley with a woman presumably called Sally with very little discreet sneaking of her through this partition occurring.

Oo, he really thinks he's god's gift now.

Now, he's just being greedy.

And rubbing it in more. Yes, yes, you're addicted to "love".

When he's not getting off with all the girls...

We got this O level Art Grade C effort

Yet another dip in the water

This inadvertently looks like a rejected Terry Gilliam effort.

Finally, this isn't a terrible album cover but he's the double of Hywel Bennet on this sleeve.
