when we say storm was shit we aren't including pre-1983 stuff in Hipgnosis right. because like Saucerful of Secrets, Atom Heart Mother, Wish You Were Here, cool to fine
Yes, before he thought "hmm, that Wish You Were Here art was popular, I'll use that kind of thing as a template for everything I ever do ever again ever."

also Red Hot Chili Peppers in taste shocker.

they turned down these hackneyed bits of brainStorming for Stadium Arcadium and he was really upset, lol

Obviously he spent a long time making these covers to specifically suit the album and not just knocking them out and giving them to anybody.

In Thorgerson's words: "the Peppers turned down our offerings in favour of this piece of unadventurous graphics." Which is funny, as "unadventurous graphics" sums up Thorgerson's later work brilliantly.

Pretty sure we had this entire discussion a few pages back, but it's always fun to laugh at his appalling cover art.

Sorry if it’s already been mentioned but there’s a full episode of the new official Pink Floyd podcast dedicated to Storm Thorgerson and the Hypgnosis album covers.

Apart from him nicking David Bowie's trousers

Great artists Steal.

He won trousers of the year in the Popjustice Readers poll awards, https://www.popjustice.com/articles/the-2019-popjustice-readers-poll/ And they seem pretty switched on to the latest trends.

Looks like a direct hit on Ferris’ apartment block!

If it is reduced to vaporized ash then the Ferris family might actually be able to afford it. Bring it on, I say.
