Earlier, I was pondering the absence of any kind of biopic, or even full-scale documentary, on the tragic 60s starlet Carol White. Then the thought occurred, shouldn't Loach make one? It would be a new genre for him, but then he's worked in more disparate genres than is often realised. And, most importantly, he actually knew her, and witnessed her rise, not sure how much of her fall he was personally privy to, though.

Just read an interview with him in Empire yesterday... I think they only Loach film I've seen is Kes.
