Sigh.  The torrents are down because someone wiped the tracker, for some reason.  Download them from the site, although some of the first and second series links are broken for the next week or so.

piersonparsons

ANY CHANCE OF YOU SCUM SUCKERS SEEDING THESE FOR A WHILE??? THANKS IN ADVANCE, OR I'LL KICK YOUR FACE OFF

butnut

I think the tracker's been deleted or something. Look here:

(And there's no need to shout about it, either.)

In the style of Blue Jam m man. And anyway, there's no torrent link attached to that message lot. What mean my good man>

Arse candle! (BJ!)

I edited the old bluejamseries1.torrent file to point to a new working tracker, and I'm seeding it.  The files are identical, so if you downloaded them before, you can point your torrent tool to save the data for this torrent in the same directory and it should jump straight to seeding.  Please help to seed this.

The new torrent:
http://www.goedel.demon.co.uk/Chris%20Morris%20-%20Blue%20Jam%20Series%201.torrent

EDIT: I can do the same for series 2 and 3, but unless people help seed there isn't much point, what with my 25kB/s max upload speed.

Cambrian Times

Thank you! Do you want payment in coin or personal services?

How do I seed it?

Do I just put the tracker up when it's loaded 100%

terminallyrelaxed

Ace. I'll start torrenting this when I get home - you all semm to think this Morris geezer;s pretty funny so I'll give him a whirl...

catmachine

Great. I'll be seeding whenever online.

piersonparsons

WHAT MADE ME THINK THIS WAS THE TV SERIES VERSION. DAMN IT. STILL FUNNY BUT NOT AS GOOD AS THE VISUALS. ANYONE GOT THE TV SERIES PUHHLEEASE?

CHELSEA FOR THE QUAD!!

Neil

Don't ask for commercially available stuff on here, shouty person, that's not what this site is for.  The radio versions are far superior anyway.

Edited Series 2 torrent at:

http://ieya.org/Chris%20Morris%20-%20Blue%20Jam%20Series%202.torrent

However, it'll only fully work if someone with a completed download starts seeding - I only have half the completed download myself  (which I am seeding, nevertheless

EDIT:

...but don't know if seeding a half-downloaded torrent is any good? Seems to be working, but no movement - probably won't be until someone with a completed download seeds it).

Beagle 2

Can anybody help out with this? Like the cat said, no movement.

Cambrian Times

Can you upload series 1 and download series 2 at the same time or does that spaz your poot?

Edit: Series 2 has nowt happening

It depends on your client - I'm using Azureus which lets you set maximum speeds for each torrent separately.  But generally, seeding one and downloading another should work, you'll maybe have a slightly slower download speed because you aren't uploading as much of the one you are downloading.

QuoteEdit: Series 2 has nowt happening

It's all go now, a full seed has arrived.

weekender

I'm trying to sort something out with the torrents, I'll let you all know in due course.

gazzyk1ns

OK, I've just created and am seeding a torrent of series 3 on UKnova. Yes, you must register but it's free, painless, and they don't spam you at all. So do it. If you read their FAQ then you'll see that they encourage users to maintain a ratio of above 1.005 - this is more than reasonable, all they're asking is that you upload very slightly more than you download. It would obviously be "polite" do do a little more than that, if you can. I'm sure that if you've not come across the site before then you'll love it, anyway, there are loads of goodies to be had, for example Spitting Image, old Harry Enfield, and Jerry Sadowitz material. Use the search function. It's a great community and there will soon be plently of seeders for this, so if you're quick on the uptake but find that it's getting to you slowly then don't worry... either leave it, or close the torrent and "come back later".

Huge thanks to Weekender and "Richard", without their assistance this speedy arrangement wouldn't have been possible. Obviously the files were obtained through CaB so... well, If anyone involved with the whole process has gone uncredited so far then I'll let Neil/TJ/whoever do the honours!

weekender

All three series are now being torrented via UKnova.  I've stopped seeding series 2 and 3 temporarily as I'm currently the only seed for Series 1, although that may change in the future if gazzyk1ns ever stops downloading misogynistic pornography torrents.

Oh yeah, please seed as well.  Cheers.

gazzyk1ns

Me and Weekender are interested in how many people here have taken advantage (in the way we intended I mean, not in a bad way like when you sex up a drunk girl) of these torrents on UK Nova. About 130 people have now completed downloads of all three series (i.e. nearly 400 downloads in total), but we have no way of knowing how many are simply "UK Nova people", and how many were alerted of their existence here and so scooted over to grab them. We're not asking people to suck our virtual willies over this, and obviously nobody wants the thread clogged up with loads of "Yeah I got 'em, ta..." posts but... well, like I said, we're really interested to see how many people found the torrents through here.

Also - torrents on UK Nova have a "TTL" (Time To Live). Here's UK Nova's own explanation of this:

QuoteWhat's this "TTL" in the browse page?

The torrent's Time To Live, in hours. It means the torrent will be deleted from the tracker after that many hours have elapsed (yes, even if it is still active). Note that this a maximum value, the torrent may be deleted at any time if it's inactive.

The TTL countdowns are currently (I'm posting at 4pm on the 18th Dec.) at:

So if you've been meaning to grab them but have so far put it off, then now is the time to do it. Judging by the last bit of their TTL explanation up there, if there are no "leechers" (downloaders) for a while then the torrents get deleted from the tracker. As you can see, there are only 2 for each at the moment.

If you've got any questions about Bit Torrent in general then UK Nova's FAQ section has all the answers.

tornado78

Hi, its my first time here for a quite a while and would like to get hold of the torrents to replace my 64kbit mp3 's and i've only heard 2 of the series not exactly sure which two. But I can't get onto uknova must gone on lockdown as bittorrents being chased like a otis ferry chasing after labour frontbenchers / ginger mammals robin cooks a back bencher now ho ho ho. anyway can i get an invite for uknova?  im at; tornadovision (at) yahoo.co.uk

cheers

ive seeded some blue jam and kmky on lokitorrent b4 so would ofcourse help the seed  http://www.lokitorrent.com/torrents-details.php?id=67413

A Passing Turk Slipper

Can you not just join UkNova? I didn't understand your post at all (you lost me right after 'must gone on lockdown'), but you just need to sign up (for free) if you're not a member. Anyways, I'm just finally getting round to downloading these now so thanks gazzyk1ns and weekender and co, very nice of you to do this.

gazzyk1ns

Yeah same here... UK Nova membership is free, hassle free and spam-free (I honestly don't "work" for them or anything!), so do it.

APTS, which series' are you getting and what kind of download rate are you experiencing? If you could post after you've grabbed it/them, or if you start to struggle, then that would be good. I stopped seeding for the first time since we uploaded them this afternoon and I obviously want to know if they're still OK - I can see who is grabbing them and who is seeding but only the "average" speed of connection since a given user first activated the torrent, which is obviously useless when trying to judge what kind of seeding is still in place. Cheers!

panic on the streets

i tried registering for uknova, but it said it's closed off for public use... either they ban international addresses, or have closed sign-ups recently. either way, could someone seed the blue jam episodes at another location?

A Passing Turk Slipper

I got the 1st series fine, the second one should also finish within the next couple of hours. I'm not sure about the third though - my download and upload rate for that is pretty small. I'm sure it should be fine though.

gazzyk1ns

Ta, I think I was being a bit paranoid to be honest... although the torrents are getting old. Like I said it's just hard to judge how well people are able to get them by looking at the stats provided. PM me if you have trouble grabbing the third.

About UK Nova not accepting new registrations... I would assume it's because of how Suprnova came to a sticky end so suddenly, seems like they're (understandably) trying to stay "off the radar". If nobody has any proposed solutions then I guess we'll just have to wait a while and see what's viable then...
