Got tickets for London in April. First time seeing him. I'd be happy if it was the Piss Party webcam reenacted to be honest.

Thanks for the tip, gots mine too.

Just started watching his streams, they are fucking delightful.

Most people who stream are always on, trying to make a smart quip or be really loud and brash. Limmy's utterly deadpan delivery is perfect.

Cuellar

Put myself on the London waiting list. You always see him retweeting people who say they can't make it anymore, so who knows?

bgmnts

I donated to his stream tonight writing "thank ye very very much Daniel, thank ye very very much".

The best thing i've ever done in my life.

Jesus, I only ever played act one of the walking dead, but this is some shocking misery porn isn't it? Is that what the tv series and comic are like?

Just as bad except you don't have to pay for it.

Didn't get a ticket this time. I'll have a look at Twitter closer to the dates though as there's always someone selling one. He said in a recent game stream that he still doesn't know what he's going to read on the tour. Said it was easier for the previous two book tours because he could just read some short stories.

Terryfuckwit

I doubt many of you have been through the smack scene so maybe you just wanna ask where he gets his crazy ideas from but maybe its us lot who wanna ask him the uncomfortable questions that put him off

ArtParrott

I've very much enjoyed his Detroit: Become Human streams. Something about watching him pause the game for 20 mins at a time and agonising over whether to a desktop or a laptop.

FsF

My personal highlight was how his rendition of the Big Break theme seemed to get rougher and more Scouse every time he did it.

bgmnts

He fucking raked the cash in on the last Detroit Human stream, fairplay to him.

Was a thrill to give him £2 and have him acknowledge me tbh. embarrassing

Did he thank you very very very much?

jake thunder

So people pay him money to pay video games?

He sang the big break theme tune to me!

Yeah this is something I don't get. He's been doing it for a long long time. I thought he streamed it through YouTube but there's never a comment option so dunno if it's a multi platform stream. Maybe primarily Twitch?

Still, who the fuck is paying him to do it? And why? During his streams he does a very heartfelt sounding 'thank you very much username'.

I don't get it. I know people make fortunes streaming gaming but why would you pay someone just for being on? I can understand if you said 'theres a tenner play Goldeneye' or something specific.

His streams are great though. As much as he talks about the game he's playing at the time, there's a lot of honesty and commentary comes from him as well.

I just don't understand how people can donate 2 hours into a stream. I doubt he's going to keep playing it into the early hours if people keep paying. There's a limit where he'll say I've had enough, off to bed or whatever. Fair play to him though. Wish I could take it in from sticking a game on for a couple of hours which I would have probably done anyway.

Didn't someone on here donate recently? Can I ask why you did?

I'm a colossal pirate so it doesn't occur to me at all, but a lot of people like to give something in return when they're enjoying some media. I'm sure chucking a bit of money in probably makes your name stand out a little more if nothing else too.

I'd also say, with streaming in general, it's as much about the sense of companionship as anything else. A super relatable not-completely-untroubled guy like Limmy can probably be a pretty nice person to hang out with for a few hours even if it's totally one-way for a lot of people that feel a bit isolated.
Dude could probably amass a bit of a cult if he wanted.

I kind of love that he's shared one story about watching this pet shop boys gig alone in his apartment 20 years ago as being one of the best moments of his life at least twice now and I'm not sure why

hedgehog90

Maybe one for the 'obvious things you've only just realised' thread, but I was watching the 'Limmy playing Detroit: Become Human (3/7)' thinking something along the lines of  'it's interesting how it's going back and forward in time in a game like this, given that we've already decided the fate of Kara and the wet girl.'
Didn't realise until the end of the third one, reading one of the comments that the numbering on 2 of the videos are back to front, so I watched 1, 3 and then 2.

Anyway, loving this so far.
I can't explain why the Big Break theme-tune makes me laugh so much, but it does.

Can't stand twitch, it's like a meme made flesh.

Cunts spamming the chat with little emoticons of people that look like gamergaters, nightmare.

He streams on Youtube as well.

Captain Z

Are they regularly funny? Because I have zero interest in computer games.

He was "made partner" on Twitch, so the youtube streams are done.

He is doing some old school webcams as well. It's not all gaming.

Limmy on Twitch is very weird, it's all so crazily monetised and he seems on edge so much; is he just gonna live stream from here on out?

Thursday

I watch a few really low key twitch streams, but anyone big is just an insane world I don't understand... the flow is constantly ruined by people subscribing, causing some annoying sound and graphic to appear, and then the streamer has to stop to thank the person (Because the audience expects/demands this happen" and it's just constant throughout. It's baffling, people are insane.

Captain Z

I was going to post that I'd enjoyed his two 'morning motivators' as Malcolm Malcolm, but he followed them up with a three hour session about nothing in particular and ain't nobody got time for that.

Cuellar

Yeah, the sheer amount of stuff you can add to your stream might not be the best thing for someone as obsessive about detail as Limmy. Can lead to hours of tinkering with filters and background etc.

And nothing killed his 'scary story' atmosphere quicker than someone subscribing and getting a blast of "I'M COMING TO GET YE HEN"

However, I did really enjoy his roast chicken story.

wobinidan

Just want to say that his twitch streams have been stellar and he's even found a way to make the constant subscribers and donation notifications entertaining. He plays Euro Truck Simulator most nights and he obviously loves streaming on twitch and is putting a lot more effort into it than when he was just playing Overwatch for hours on youtube.
