Mong your home town.
2 years ago ( ish ) there was a thread of the same name and some pretty funny mongs on there, taking the piss out of  places we live..lived,and visited.
As all my images were on my old hard disc ( now in the bin ) and i have absolutely no relevant images of the tow where i live. would someone like to start the thread again while i find an image to get myself going again.[/b]

splattermac

remind us where you did, was it Ormskirk, Ellesmere Port, Skelmersdale?

I remember the thread but not your old user name

Not a mong (I might try my first one ever later) but I did find this fascinating site by an American going to places where his ancestors lived. He went to Putney, despite there being no evidence at all that any of his ancestors lived there!

EDIT: The tosser wasn't in Putney at all, but north of the river in Fulham.

Cramlington: Where double rainbows are not unusal.

Triple rainbows with Elvis are less common:

Vermschneid Mehearties

Barton-upon-Humber - Where an empty street is not unusual.

And neither are roadside prostitutes.*

Actual whores maybe fatter and uglier, with less clothes than pictured.

There's a great .gif on our company website which alternates the locations of our offices around the country.  Places like London have the Milennium Wheel, Chichester has a massive cathedral or something, and then you get to the Solihull office.  Now, admittedly, there's not a lot of landmarks in Solihull, but someone decided to take a picture of Drury Lane, which looks like a second-rate set from 'The Bill'.  I'll have to try and save it so you can see what I mean.

I took the original picture of the beach myself on my spanking new camera (had to knock it down from 4Meg pixies though, so as not to upset BJ)

I'm quite proud of it actually, as it 'appens.

Ah, Lerwick.  One day, one day....

I don't live in Lancashire, but I did find that the council have provided them with their very own song:

I particularly like the dubbed over place-name and ending.
