I know he's just doing a character, but I genuinely felt really bad for Gregg when that producer guy was mocking his video collection.

Depressed Beyond Tables

Brilliant episode. Had to watch it again. I love the dark arts Tim has employed to ensure his temporary substitute will fail.

a) Getting a highly, highly experienced film maker to highlight Gregg's shortcomings.

b) (Presumably) tipping the camera men a few quid to make the show look like a complete train wreck. They couldn't even frame most of the shots, plus the editing WTF?

c) The instant cut once Gregg strayed off the main thrust of the show. You say one bad thing about your master and Boom! it's goodnight Eileen.

Heidecker is a very funny man when it comes to this type of 'spin'. I'm like a broken record when it comes to his Tom Scharpling interview but it really shows the level he's prepared to go to to create comedy from paranoia, politics and spin.

Then again, Tom Hanks tops the list of most trustworthy celebs once again

This episode was the only thing I was looking forward to this week in terms of funny stuff that one can watch and I'm extremely pleased that it delivered. Was much better than I thought it was going to be actually.

Never heard this before - it's excellent.  He's brilliant at talking absolute bollocks with a straight face, Scharpling seems to be genuinely fooled by it as well.

See also this interview with him and Neil Hamburger on this Chicago radio station.

All of this is great but the whole bit about 7-Eleven where he's listing what they sell and he says "Did you see this on theblaze?" is brilliant.

Love that Gregg has now started bringing in Popcorn Classics videos that he's taped off the TV.
And 'Decker'.

They continue to surprise me, I wasn't expecting anything like that, brilliant stuff with Tim's political views on full display.  Great seeing Joe Estavez again as the president.

I also love Gregg's obsession with trilogies and how he keeps using the "anyone who's seen these movies" line to slyly dig at Tim.

Sexton Brackets Drugbust

I love Gregg's little self satisfied smile when he makes any kind of connection - 'HG Wells Time Machine'.

Old Nehamkin

Loved Decker casually waving his gun at the president. Also: "If you're caught or killed I'll tell the nation that you're some psychotic lunatic that just went crazy".

I'm just watching last year's. This is glorious. Amazed that Turkington and Hamburger are the same person.

Jackson K Pollock

Thanks both, though still an hour away as far as I can see, so will prob just check out the highlights tomorrow...

This is absolutely fucking brilliant.

Tim's lengthy Oscar acceptance speech was fantastic and his ongoing update on the Crimea situation is superb. Gregg's look of frustration is amazing and, as last year, those images of the stars, celebrities and characters get me every time. The W.C Fields asides are wonderfully awkward.

Can't tell you how glad I am to not have work in the morning.

Depressed Beyond Tables

Absolutely loving the actors' obituary segment. The lads corpsing too of course. Mr Dougg Pound on camera again maybe.

Artemis

It's enough just watching the ceremony. I couldn't handle something in the breaks as well. I need the down time. I'll catch up with it.
