I enjoyed the TV show, and although i'm not a Denzel fan I think this suits him.

Should this go in the 'Pointless remakes' post or is it justified?

No, this is all wrong. The charm of The Equalizer was that tough street punks, muggers and gang members would inexplicably cower when an old man did nothing tougher than talk sternly at them. Also Denzel Washington is the dullest actor ever.

EDIT - Also just remembered: Guy Ritchie's next project is apparently The Man From UNCLE. No idea who'd be in it, but I assume there'll be room for an amusing McCallum/Vaughn cameo somewhere in there.
