Ooh tempted by Rock of Ages for £1.74 probably get that tomorrow.

Also, I got The Witcher Enhanced Edition in the Gift Pile but I already have it. If anyone wants to trade post what you got in here.

wasp_f15ting

Has any got sonic generations yet from there?

Quite tempted for the price.. the required specs seem a bit hefty though!

mikeyg27

Terraria is definitely worth £1.49. I've also succumbed to the first two Dark Forces games for 86p each (nostalgia ahoy!).

It's awesome and was worth the £15-odd I paid at launch, so I'd say go for it.

mikeyg27

The Binding of Isaac is definitely worth 99p.

AsparagusTrevor

Bought that, bought Dead Space 2. It was going so well before now.

AsparagusTrevor

LA Noire Complete Edition for £8.74? Don't mind if I do.

STOP FUCKING OPENING STEAM!

So tempted... but I've not even finished it on PS3... and I've barely touched GTA IV. Another (unfinished) game I have for PS3, but had before I got my super-powerful gaming PC.

Battlefield 3 just sucks up all of my gaming time now.

madhair60

Just for those interested, a handful of good things available at very reasonable prices that may be overlooked due to being non-daily deals:

Eversion is 87p, a classic 2D platformer with a sinister twist.

Nation Red (£1.99) is a brilliant, frantic twin-stick shooter that has you mowing down hordes of undead.  This video should sell it better than I ever could.

Dark Void Zero a supremely old-school sidescroller, nothing like the (surprisingly good, and £1.94) game it's spun-off from.  And it's 59p!

Broken Sword Trilogy gives you two amazing point and clicks for £2.49.  You also get a shitter one in Broken Sword 3, but you can't really pass these up at that price.

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and its superior sequel Abe's Exoddus are a mere 49p each.  Brilliant, involving games that call to mind the original Prince of Persia.

Time, Gentlemen Please! and Ben There Dan That! Two amateur-created point and click games that are ridiculous, funny, and ridiculously funny.  74p, the pair.

VVVVVV, the gravity-flipping platformer I've eulogised in the past on here, is a mere 99p.  Cannot recommend it enough.

Thanks for that summary madhair. I've just bought some of my favourite games back as a result: The Broken Swords (never played 3) and the Oddbox, which includes Munch's Oddysey and Stranger's Wrath, both completely new to me. The Oddbox is £3.24 if you want the entire set.

madhair60

Stranger's is good, Munch's is a pathetic port of a pathetic game.

I would also urge anybody to pick up VVVVVV, it is a real gamer's game.

Does anyone who's played  Broken Sword 3 on steam

What the fuck is this shit? Who thought that was an improvement?

ThickAndCreamy

From the sale I've bought;

Beat Hazard
Batman: Arkham Asylum
LA Noire
LIMBO
Psychonauts
Rock of Ages
SpaceChem

In total that's cost me about £20. All well worth the cost![nb]Except Beat Hazard, which is shite.[/nb]

I'm not playing the rubbish bastard.

This years haul:

Orcs Must Die (£2.99)
Bunch Of Heroes (£2.24)
Batman: Arkham City (£19.99)
STALKER: Clear Sky (£1.99)
Dead Space 2 (£4.99)
Binding Of Issac (£0.99)
LA Noire Complete Edition (£8.74)
Portal 2 (£4.99)

£46.92 for at least 4 AAA titles and a couple of competent indie games. That's me sorted for a month or so!

Wilbur

Damn you Steam. I fell for LA Noire as well. I've only just started Skyrim. Oh well winter is here and the TVs rubbish......

Theremin

Nabbed:

Nation Red
VVVVVV
Hitman: Blood Money
Bastion
Audiosurf
AaaaAAAaaaa: For the Awesome!
The Binding of Isaac
Dungeons of Dredmor
Half-Life: Blue Shift
Half-Life: Opposing Force
LIMBO
Orcs Must Die
Overlord
Puzzle Agent
Rock of Ages
Sam and Max S1, S2 & S3
Sequence
Second Sight
Serious Sam: The Random Encounter
Solar 2
World of Goo
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell

It's the end of an era.

mikeyg27

Fuck, missed World of Goo. I also thought the last day deals were going on for the extra four hours as well, so I missed out on getting Fate of the World. Ho hum.

My swag from the last two weeks has been relatively restrained, although it kicked up a notch in the last few days after I bought a new (more capable) laptop:

Dungeons of Dreadmoor
Dark Forces
Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II
Left 4 Dead (4 pack)
Source Multiplayer Pack (Counter-Strike, Half Life 2 Deathmatch, Day of Defeat)
Bit Trip Runner
Portal 2

I think it speaks volumes to the genius of Valve both as game developers and as a business that I bought Portal 2, considering I've already bought the Xbox version. I do want to play it again with mouse & keyboard (and possibly find a co-op buddy).

Famous Mortimer

I want a lovely big Stalker pack, so I hope it's reasonably priced when I finally boot up my new gaming laptop later this evening.

Hurrah for Steam!

Famous Mortimer

It's nice to see all my favourite old games downloading.

Anyone want to be Steam friends? I had an account years ago with a sensible name, but forgot the password and had it linked to a defunct email address, so had to set up a new one, and went with the awful-looking "xxxmortimerxxx". Oh, how will our children cope with finding usernames when all the normal ones are long since taken?
