Just seen this, it's one adaptation I'd be quite interested in seeing. It always seemed like it would be an unfilmable novel, but I must say the trailer suggested to me that they are taking it in an interesting direction and just embracing the oddity of the book, following up every story. Potentially great, but it would still be easy for them to fuck it up.

It looks diabolical (although it is probably aimed at 3-5 year olds), but it contains two of the most annoying, lazy tropes of modern comedy: 1) a character talking in a "rap/urban" way, and 2) characters dancing. Also, why does the Emperor sound like the baby from Family Guy?
