Obviously jutl's match is going to be slightly delayed because his opponent hasn't been sorted yet, but he can post his shot anytime - the 72 hour limit will be waived for the first reply. All the other's serving have ~72 hours give or take to start their threads and post their first images. There are 7 matches so that means once again the highest scoring loser will also qualify for the next round.

In a somewhat laughable turn of events, I'm going to have to duck out. Well, I say laughable; it's amusing because I've already expressed a sadness at having to see other players drop out, and also because it looks like I'm fleeing from my rival, one DocDaneeka. In reality, my life has taken yet another turn for the complete and utter shittiest avenue of mental health disorders and generally dragging everyone around me down into my rank, hideous little pit of despair, and as such I'm finding it extremely difficult to convey the sense of humour and sportsmanship required to play this game correctly. I'm deeply sorry. I'll most likely take a break from the forum entirely until I can see a way out of this that doesn't involve clawing away and having more and more dirt topple onto my head. Maybe I'll actually go to the doctor this time and try and get my shit sorted out instead of constantly ignoring every single issue that ever crops up.

Obviously the second highest scoring loser from Round 1 should take the spot. Any any other pull-outs should be filled by the third highest scoring loser and so forth (ie nobody should be allowed to join Round 2 who hasn't already competed, if it can be helped).

The crabwalk/micanio vs chocky/jutl match has the 72 hour time limit waived for the 1st couple of shots because those 2nd round matches have yet to finish. Nuclear Optimism doesn't have internet access until the weekend so Cohaagen can take his time with his serve. The ~72 hour time limit applies to the rest of the shots but I'm a cool nazi and I'm happy to be flexible as long as something is on its way

Although both Lyndon and Asparagus finished as equal highest losers with 10 votes, I decided Asparagus should go through based on receiving a higher proportion of the total vote - his 38% (10/26) compared to Lyndon's 34% (10/29). I apologise to Lyndon for this decision. It was very hard to decide.

Secondly, on Saturday I'm going away for a week so I'm going to screw up this round a bit if I'm allowed to stay in the tournament.

I can get my serve away before I go, but I won't be able to return until Monday 30th.

Is that OK? I'll understand if not, and bow out disgracefully.

edit: if I switch it so that the winner of jutl/chocky 909 serves and crabwalk replies, that might work. As long as crabwalk can get his reply in reasonably soon after he returns, which may be difficult if his holiday involves alcohol, lewdness, coarse language and consorting with prostitutes[nb]as mine do[/nb]
