The Plunger

Restless Natives (1985) never fails to cheer me up. A charming film with lots of great moments in it. Oh, and the Big Country soundtrack is a beezer as well.

Searching For Sugarman

For the first half I was wondering if it was a very elaborate mockumentary but after Rodriguez gets to South Africa & the reaction he gets as he walks out onstage I was grinning all over my face.

I agree, and I was lucky enough to be at the first UK screening, when Rodriguez actually came out afterwards for a Q&A.

Another ludicrously happy documentary is Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey. If that doesn't warm your heart then nothing will.
