That story that's in the news currently, about the most recent British nonce gang to be caught, suggested that they'd been befriending pregnant women to gain their trust by the time they gave birth.

Now I'm sure the babies would be off the cord by the time they got their dirty hands (and more) on em, but they were definitely getting a head start there.

Once again,  I thought laughing boy had died when this thread was bumped.

You want a big laugh or two? Then watch the series 14 episode of "Never Mind The Buzzcocks", featuring the guitarist from Lostprophets, making jokes about paedophilia! I wonder if it was brought up at the time?

Got a link?

Is it like that online Q&A thing they did which was creepy as fuck?

It's series 14, episode 3, and it doesn't appear to be on Youtube. It's the first round, I think "which of these two pop stars did a thing?", and yer man from Lostprophets makes a couple of gags about R Kelly's apparent predilection for younger ladies. So, not as creepy as that Q&A, no :(

They knew.

I've done the entire thread in one sitting and watched all the youtubes, verdict: they definitely knew.

That's not quite the same as what yer man Ian did. Cut the Bump N Grinder some slack!

Yeah, the rest of them were probably doing that too. My only evidence for this is that they're in a band.

If you're in a band whose fanbase is almost entirely adolescent girls, what else are you supposed to do?[nb]I mean, not fuck them, obviously.  But for the megalolz.[/nb]

Robert "Rape" Kelly might not like them as young as Watkins, but he is just as vile in terms of being an actual serial rapist and abuser of young girls. However, because it's a matter of court record, you can safely call known rapist R Kelly a rapist without threat of legal action. That's Robert "R" Kelly, the famous singer who repeatedly rapes underage girls and gets away with it.

With the news that Tim Smith has a snapchat account, one can only assume these things occur in twos

I saw a documentary that said lots of prisoners have smartphones and internet access. Although someone might have just hacked that account for megalolz.

Hat FM

surely someone has hacked his soundcloud, which was already linked to his twitter, rather than his actual twitter? I think the fact he listened to a band called 'megalelz' gives that away...

I'm sure that doesn't apply to prisoners charged with making child pornography.

yeah i imagine they are talking about cat D offenders in open prisons. wasn't he sentenced to 30something years? oof.

Know someone who was facing imminent arrest and inprisonment just spent  couple of days with a small mobile and 2 kinder egg toy containers full of spice and tobacco up his ass waiting for the police to come round. Would have got £200 plus for the phone alone, so are they available inside. In the end they arrested and took him to the station, but released him the same day. So he had all that up his ass for nothing. " Don't you just hate it when that happens." I said

Ebay: Moblie phone and 2 kinder eggs (unused and unwashed)

It seems that an artist is using the ultimate stunt to launch and distribute new material. Why didn't Radiohead think of getting an infamous paederast to tweet the tracks of their last album from behind bars? They'll never top this.

It's rife in all cats apart from maybe A now (I don't really know about that though, just guessing they must be higher security), as there's basically no staff to monitor what's going on. If you go on YouTube you can find loads of videos prisoners have filmed of them taking drugs and having really ropey looking raves in their cells and then uploaded on 3G. Although I somehow doubt anyone in prison is providing Ian fucking Watkins with a mobile. He can't be very popular.

Aye, that's the main thing.  Even if he weren't in for being an paedo gone a-noncin', he's the singer of one of the wimpiest bands we've ever produced as a nation.

The idea that in eighteen years or so someone will tell this kid that they were bummed by such a shit celebrity is harder to bear than the incident itself.

Meanwhile those kids who were[nb]allegedly[/nb] touched up by Michael Jackson are feeling very smug.

Sadly since removed from the net, but the (actually pretty great) C4 show Coppers had an episode focusing on Chatham, in which officers described the Chatham Pocket - slang for prisoners' rectal passages, where they hid stuff. One talking head claimed to have found a phone and two chargers up an arrestee's ringpiece once. Your mate's bum got off light.

Years back someone I knew who had been inside a few times said that people who are on quite long sentences are able to stick an iPhone up their arse in basically a fraction of a second through repeated practice as there's little else to do in prison. At the time I thought he was just taking the piss to see if I'd believe him as I didn't think it was logistically possible. It seems I was wrong.
