Would the LP have such a deranged fanbase who would acquiese to do whatever Watkins wanted?

Still the Paedo supergroup is taking shape, Watkins, Glitter, King, Jackson, R. Kelly, all managed by The Automatic's guy.

True, it does massively effect your feelings for the person; knowing they're capable of being so cruel, sadistic and fucked up.  Perhaps because Thriller was released in 1982, people like myself kind of imagined he'd written and performed it before all the nasty stuff, so it was untainted by the stench of his future betrayals.  I don't know.  It's interesting though..

I've not been in the position where a musician whose work I like has had allegations of child abuse against them. However, there are plenty of authors whose work I enjoy who are repugnant as individuals. For literature, I find that an author's indiscretions do not detract from their art and I can separate their work from their life. I hope that it would be the same for musicians. However I'd probably enjoy the music privately rather than play it in public where others probably wouldn't feel the same way as I do.

How must Fearne Cotton feel? The willy connected to this man has been inside her, but where else has it been???

Same, but it took me a few months to recover from reading the love letters of a certain writer.

All my insanely young Facebook friends are upset, as this was the band 'they liked when they were little'. No wonder most people have reacted to this news with a shrug.

I encountered this story a few hours ago when a friend-of-friend music journo was posting tentative I-won't-say-the-name-but-I'm-shocked comments. Needless to say, all his friends mentioned the name. I didn't know who "Ian Watkins" was, but, by misunderstanding some contextual clues in the comments, I got the idea he was in Deep Purple or some other band of similar vintage. Which might, inadvertently, be the most repsect I've ever given the bloke. I've never heard any Lostprophets records except that cover of "Cry Me A River" they did.

The original version by Deep Purple was even better.

Billy Joe Royal did the original version, but Deep Purple's version is the definitive one to my ears.

I did some work on a film a mate had done as his film school graduation piece. It was a pastiche of the femme fatale/film noir genre and he managed to get Watkins to appear in it,  as the leader of a gang of thugs, played by the rest of the band. I think my mate had gone to school with some of the band or something. I must say, it wasn't the worst performance I've ever seen, though I don't suppose his acting career is going to take off now.

I dunno, The Paedophile Wing Players might be performing something zesty during Cell Block D's summer rehabilitation program.

Yeah, is there some kind of special nod that you have to give?? Was he sat there over dinner with her one night and thought "conversation's a bit lacking tonight, she looks like the type who'd help me bum a toddler". How on earth (unless you're on some nonce ring website) to you bring up a topic like that?

When you remember that average bloke who got a few Mum's at a nursery to take pictures of babies, the thought of a famous rock star getting the same results doesn't seem so hard to believe.

They had a good drummer for a bit but he went off to go and be in the Nine Inch Nails. I thought Lostprophets' first album was fun, then after that they decided that they were American

The first album that they re-recorded to sound more nu-metal and add scratching? They were bandwagon jumping arseholes from the start.

You've got to be pretty sure of yourself to ask though. How does it happen?

I really wish "How!" with Fred Dineage & Gaz Top was still on the telly so I could write in and ask them.

Ian is a super chap with the ability to pull "some of the most bewtiful looking women in the television business".  Plus he doesn't touch 14yo girls who serve him pop.

You have been told.

Might be more of a job for Des Lynam and that short woman on "How Do They Do That?"

Are Funeral For A Friend still going? I saw them on the telly long ago, I think they were touring as Lostprophets' support act. I suppose they could step up and fill their shoes.

I walked into a tent at Sonisphere 2010 and they were there.  There was a time, there, when they'd sort of cracked the mainstream - at least as far as heavy circulation on Kerrang goes - but obviously they've fallen out of favour a bit.  I never liked them.

Meanwhile, the truly abysmal Madina Lake were playing on the main stage.

This was just posted on a music industry forum:

Conspiring to rape a 1 your old baby?
I thought that was a joke when I read it.
Surely that person doent exist. That can't be true can it?
Is it naive of me to believe that nobody has ever had the desire to fuck a 1 your old baby?
I cant imagine what that would look like.
I hope I'm not alone in thinking that.

And yes, I had to type "baby rape" into google to find that story so if you see me in the news you'll know why.

Quote from that article;

QuoteThe divorced mother faces charges of sexual battery on a person under the age of twelve, lewd and lascivious molestation, lewd and lascivious exhibition, possession of child pornography and use of child in sexual performance.

Typical single Mum behaviour there. I knew The Mail were right all along.

Just been told that 'Jo' from the comments section of the 'who dated who' link previously posted is the ex-girlfriend fiance[nb]edit[/nb] who went to the police & reported the child pornography on IW's computer.

Her last tweet before she turned her feed private:

"Word of the day: Vindication... The end of a long 4yrs... that is all I'm probably allowed to say... #ladyjusticeismyfriend #soproudofme"

EDIT: just been sent this link, too, confirming the above involvement of 'Jo':

What a voice! Lostprophets THERE is your new singer.

In my head that's said in the style of Danny Baker.

If the world does end on the 21st I'll bet it's something to do with this.
