I just thought it was a bit dull and had barely any analysis whatsoever. Given the extended length that made watching it a real drag.

Yeah, i hear you. The best ones are where they really dissect the behavioural quirks that give away their untruthfulness of the culprit and also give an understanding into whatever personality disorder they might have. Seeing the interrogators use their techniques (which are explained) to varying degrees of competence is more thrilling than any scene i've seen in a film. Also seeing the difference of leeway the law gets in america compared to the UK is quite interesting. Part of you wishes they could do whatever they can to pin these murderous cunts but at the same time, thank god we have stricter rules in the power the state can swing.

I never thought myself a particular vengeful person but when the video states the treatment some of these cunts get in prison for the crimes they've done I get a certain nodding thrill which kind of disturbes me - I'm referencing the UK guy who murder raped his step sister.

Okay Russians are always coming up with mental violence based sports but what the fuck is slapping contests?

Oh and there are no weight classes so massive 350lbs beasts can go up against 130lbs twigs, so Russian.

Started watching that thinking 'ugh this is ludicrous, what is the point in this masculinity bullshit' but I'm very invested in this now.

I have enough footage to send you a high quality MP4 Deepfake of him getting fucked in his oddity shithole if you please. DM me for my PayPal details.

This guy isn't as likable as the mostly departed Ally Law, but it still fills my living-vicariously fix of seeing a guy blagging his way into places he isn't supposed to be: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3p3gTAz2Pts

Understandably not a lot of discussion of MegaYouTubers in here, but I find myself really enjoying the two Good Mythical Morning guys. Easily more entertaining than most standard TV content.

Geoduck being eaten. Is potentially both formative and abominable. If watchers do develop a new fetish then they'll find it's well catered for. (dunna pun look, heee).

I'm quite Youtubey now, I watch Youtube more than telly because I don't have an attention span anymore. I like watching all the sarky Youtube commentary people who haven't yet got full of themselves  like Ethan Klein of H3H3 did. I've noticed there's a thing lately with these fellas roping in their boring non-Youtube personality wives and girlfriends to watch and commentate on stuff that they clearly don't have much interest in because they themselves aren't sarky Youtube commentators. Leon Lush is a funny cunt I think when he's on his own but sometimes he does videos with his wife who clearly knows nothing of Youtube or Internet culture and isn't having it whatsoever, and not even in a funny way. I think this new wave of sarky Youtuber guys are trying to recreate the whole Ethan and Hila ''dream team couple goals'' thing but I'm just thinking why? I always thought Hila was fucking boring anyway

Halfway through reading that (before you mentioned him) I immediately thought of Leon Lush. There really does seem to be a resurgence of reaction-style content (as in, just watching shit with other people). I thought Lush would be above that somehow. Besides it being bad content, him involving his family in general just makes me nervous for him. Keep them away from the youtube world!

As a side note, I like Hila, but they work best as a couple. She's a bit boring, but she grounds his nonsense. They both would be worse off without each other. That being said I don't keep up with their podcast, which I find both dull and frustrating.

marquis_de_sad

Also the major difference between these youtubers trying to get that 'couples goals' vibe and Ethan and Hila is that Hila has always been half of the duo. It's not like Ethan brought her in later, even though her role was mainly off-camera in the early days. It just doesn't feel organic with Lush and co.

Yeah. Leon seems like a lovely bloke but I see he's got a whole seperate family vlog channel going and the track record of family vlogs can be a bit strange. His fanbase seems fairly sound but that can change with popularity. Hopefully we won't be seeing weird couple-drama/super serious couples announcement Youtuber vs Youtuber lawsuits and beefs a la Ethan and Hila. My god their podcast. Horrendous. Before that started I got the impression that Ethan would be decent crack but he can't seem to generate a decent rapport with any guest on the podcast, not even people he already knows.

Yep, agreed. Hila was always in the background and holding the camera and Ethan would talk to her so when she started emerging in front of the camera it's like ''oh there's Hila, there she is'', and she clearly had a creative link and understanding of the whole channel, unlike Leon's wife who just kind of sits there and puts up with the silly videos

His lack of attention span worked when they made edited videos of him reacting to stuff. He could play off the material in amusing ways, and there was always Hila there behind the camera as a straightman. But on the podcast he just can't seem to pay attention properly or think in a straight line. His energy works in one format and not the other.

Also for some reason he rigorously scripts his interviews, apparently. I don't know if this is to keep his mind focused or what but you can see in his eyes he's itching to get to the next question without even taking in the last answer. People can sense when they're not being listened to and his guests always seem to be mildly annoyed or disappointed by the whole conversation

I didn't know that, that makes a lot of sense. As you say, you can see him chomping at the bit to move on.

And we haven't even brought up one of the big reasons why people started disliking him: the hypocrisy of his criticism of Pewdiepie's use of the n-word.

Haha god, this is my main issue with him now. He doesn't have a clear enough defined code himself to be blessing other content creators with his opinions on what they're doing. There's a growing Youtuber (Gokanaru) who did a big old video about this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2t5v5S0UuOg&t=4502sg it's a bit long though

God, the state of that comment thread where everyone's feeling sorry for fucking Jontron. The sheer level of bullshit is so immense with those sorts, it's like every day is Opposite Day.

(If you don't know what or who I'm talking about, see here. He also happens to be someone that H3H3 used to be friends with.)

Aye I know JonTron. It was popular to go at Jon and now it's popular to go at Ethan, so of course you get the people who think they're clever for sticking up for JonTron

Does anyone else watch these corporate "watch me try one of everything on the menu" or other food sampling videos, and find it amusing that they always feel the need to blatantly lie about how they're not wasting food because the "crew" is eating all the leftovers? When the "crew" is obviously a cameraperson and maybe one other person?
