Michael Owen pilots a helicopter over Dubai: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rp_YxSWmcs

Watched that about four times in a row now, still can't breathe properly.

That's the wrong link but I found the Michael Owen one and thoroughly enjoyed it. Such charisma.

That prank video. I think Matt Lucas tweeted a link to it saying "This is this the funniest thing I've ever seen" or something. Wanker. Maybe it's because I've worked in supermarkets but I sat there through the whole thing stony-faced, thinking of the minimum wagers that whose job it is to clean up the mess, and the hapless bystanders getting milk and juice sprayed over them. It just made me fucking angry. I'd put it in the same category of 'humour' as the Bullingdon boys burning £50 notes in front of beggars. The people who made this video are cunts and anyone who finds it funny is a cunt.

Yeah, saw it posted on another forum and there was a similar split in reaction. I've seen enough people fall over that it takes a lot to make me laugh, and when it's people pratfalling deliberately it's just a bit shit. Especially when they're just tricking genuinely nice people into helping them, and making people clean up their mess.

Those 'pranks' are just fucking shit. Even with the obvious nastiness aside, what's the prank? Haha, some kind passers-by helped you up and made sure you were okay! Ker-azy!

Then again, the whole internet seems to love that video where bell-end Remi Gaillard rounds up a coach full of bell-ends to fucking destroy a shop and laugh in the face of the poor shop-girls on the way out, rather than think it's, say, really nasty cuntiness from a manchild that other online manchildren validate, so what do I know?

Utter Shit

This isn't new or particularly interesting, I just want it on record that I think this is the most soothing noise in the world.

I didn't get this either.

He's actually throwing himself in the air, risking injury. A better prank would be to pour liquid on the floor, then lay down in it and pretend to be paralysed and watch the staff freak out.

Although still cunty.

I thought this was rather haunting... it's Trnka's 'The Hand' ('Ruka') set to Laurie Anderson's 'O Superman'.

This might be old news to some of you, but it's the first time I've seen it.

This is the original TV pilot of 'Rainbow'.  No Geoffrey (some chancer called 'David'), no Rod, Jane or Freddy (or even Roger), a genuinely terrifying early version of Bungle, a not-quite-there-yet Zippy, no sign of George, and two other hand puppets that are apparently called 'Moony and Sunshine'.

Everything about it is bleak and frightening.

You seeing 'em in London?

Skip Bittman

I just saw several of the California dates, an incredible show and one of my favorites of recent years... worth it just for "Man in the Dark Sedan." Anybody attending the London show: don't watch the audience videos, come in fresh! It's a very fun stripped-down ensemble and a gorgeously skewed setlist.

Always loved this one. There's something gloriously wrong about the whole horrid affair, from the random sod of a presenter to the ugly prototype puppets. Another video from that pilot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ykImzV5K90

Featuring phallic cleft-palette edition Zippy joining in on the tuneless Shapes song, and a strangely awkward ending whilst random man and creepy Bungle colour in coins...

That's Suttsteve/Radiometricx/Protopod, famous for his mastery of the medium of the vlog! Well worth a search, although he tends to delete a lot of stuff every time he builds up a fanbase.

EDIT - Actually there is a lot of his stuff here:  http://www.youtube.com/user/protopod?feature=watch

Famous Mortimer

I really like the "Lizzie Bennett Diaries". It's "Pride and Prejudice" done as vlogs, and although the central conceit of the book (hey, daughter, get your ass married) is a bit tough to crowbar into the modern day, I think they've done it rather well.

And it's nice seeing the women from it pop up in stuff like "The Big Bang Theory" and "How I Met Your Mother", so it seems to be benefitting everyone.

He did a fantastic[nb]'fantastic'[/nb] sci-fi series at one point back before deleting his suttsteve account, centred on him finding a remote that allowed him to enter parallel worlds and meet evil Suttsteves.

I love him. He's just so earnest.

Bit old now, and probably irrelevant because the Tea Party barely exists as a political movement any more, but this video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUPMjC9mq5Y - of the 9.12 Tea Party event in Washington is horrifying, but given the TP disintegration over the years, it's more funny rather than anything.

The czar section on 5:40 is particularly brilliant - especially the girl who looks like a meringue with joke shop pop-out eyes pinned on. She quite literally thinks Obama has appointed Russian kings to positions of executive power.

Small Man Big Horse

A clip from Jimmy Kimmel's chatshow where celebrities read mean tweets that were sent to them. Most of it's vaguely amusing, but perhaps unsurprisingly Bryan Cranston steals the show at the end.

Edit: Here's another from Kimmel, it's a fairly bland vox pop thing until the NSFW ending: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0Yjhb4zC1o

Edit again: One more vox pop, and again, it's the ending which makes it worthwhile: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mt89AymlstA
