Any chance of a rip, Head Gardener? That Ingrid Bergman record looks intriguing.

The Ingrid Bergman disc was a tie in release with a 1966 ITV play of the same name... It features on
thebox.biz
site and is well worth seeing if you a torrent type.

A sort of Moog Debussy affair.

I can sort that Bergman album for you if you have no luck elsewhere.
I found some nice old record catalogues inside some albums yesterday,
these were available in Woolies in 1977

Island 4 Polydor 1

a queer old mix of Bing Crosby, Slim Whitman and The Stranglers at their cheekiest on offer via United Artists Records (and tapes)

metal racks to show off your pathetic collection of Yes and James Taylor LPs

Derek Hobsons choice

probably more reliable than the Mirror's pension scheme also on offer

This is a budget label catalogue 94p was the price then but the value of it's entire selection has decreased over the years!

just a flava of the shite on offer (apart from the Bowie & Blues albums of course)

and the record player to play them on, pipe optional

some more early to mid-70's record catalogues I found recently

notice that the Pink Floyd album listed is titled Eclipse - this of course went on to be named Dark Side of The Moon

The other week i got Eric B and Rakim's Pais in Full & I know you got soul, stetsasonic all that jazz, and two slick rick 12 inches in tip tip condition from a charity shop in Telford for 1 quid.  1 quid!  The excitement of it all meant that I left a considerable amount of spunk in there.

I've been listening to this since the age of about 8 - am I alone in loving it?

These catalogue links are all fantastic, but for a couple of them it may be better to just give a link and label it NSFW.  There's at least one I wouldn't feel comfortable with work having a log of.

I picked up Tender Pervert by Momus at the weekend from Oxfam for £3.99. I bought it purely for the title and the fact it was on Creation so figured it'd probably be worth a listen. S'alright.

Bargain! That's an excellent, excellent album.

It is! I was only listening to Momus yesterday. The run of albums from Circus Maximus to Don't Stop The Night is really good. Not sure about the stuff that followed it, although Slender Sherbert's pretty good.

Ooh, anything on Carnival is pretty damn rare, and certainly worth more than 25p (though surprisingly, not mega-prices).  I've got the Wes Minster Five 45, don't have any others on the label though.

I found this German picture sleeve 45 at a market stall only yesterday, which isn't that rare by all accounts, but was something I hadn't ever seen before and was dirt cheap:

4 track EP by the Colin Frechter Orchestra includes Corrie

never come across this soccer single before - A side has the history of Sunderland FC, B side is The Roker Roar

Spy-Fi theme from the short lived TV show starring Jason King

recent 7" finds

when I found this mispressing my initial thought was - please be Anarchy In The UK!

it could have been worse I suppose so I guess Kate was OK it is Moving on the flip btw, not blank, shame

early release by local Milton Keynes singer/songwriter Eddie Stanton
who proves his local credentials by posing next to MK's most famous residents

this was an exciting find, a mid 60's single on Island Records,
a little more info here

Dave's missus released this in 1985

Royal Palace intruder makes record shocker! sadly not his version of the Pistols classic, The Bollock Brothers
main-man Jock McDonald was in John Lydon's brother Jimmy Lydons' band 4" Be 2"

Anarchy In The UK re-jigged lyrically to the London postcode NW3 4JR with
spoken word silliness on the flip. It originally came in a picture sleeve but this copy didn't.

I quite fancy getting my hands on some Fleur des Lys vinyl.  What are my chances without paying my teeth?

I think that the Wuthering Heights mispressing is still a great find, you lucky bastard.

all the (original) FDL vinyl is rare - as just a random search here shows
http://collectorsfrenzy.com/search?q=Fleur+de+Lys&so=p

yeah, that KB mis-press was a nice find, I have a demo of The Man.. with it's picture sleeve
which I found in Age Concern last year - I just go to a lot of car boots and charity shops!
my neglected blog on my finds is here : http://headgardener.tumblr.com/
I should certainly get around to doing a new one this year!

interesting singles finds in some charity shops earlier today

great 8 track EP from 1967 in a nice fold-out cover

no, it's not a long lost Queen LP, it's a long lost Queen Mum LP

29p for this super rare EP was the best buy of the day

a hit for Errol Dunkley the same year, it was reduced to a B side for this Jackie Edwards 7"

it may be rubbish but I had to get this for the title alone

I found a couple of old paper bags too

Just went ot an odd shop in town that sells all-sorts of shite and records as well. They had a box that looked just brought  in full of KPM, De-Wolf and other assorted incidental and background music. The condition of these looked very good to excellent. I got 1 for 2 quid so if i can get the lot for say 20-30 would they be worth it??? The plain green KPMs are there for a start.
