General sadness has greeted the news that the world-famous CaB Centre is to be demolished. For the past many years, it has acted as Britain's best-loved depository for wit, chat, light entertainment and mild scatology, drawing in an estimated 24 million viewers during its 1970s heyday.

Head of Programming Neil Retro-Grade, with Sooty and Noel Edmonds.

Situated in the grounds of Crinkley Bottom, London, the building's Studio 8½ is famed for playing host to such favourites as Waxwork 'Allo 'Allo!, a screencap from the 'Yuppie Love' episode of OFAH and unending vitriol directed towards Ricky Gervais. Indeed, while Gervais has had the good nature to take part in a special show commemorating the building, it was recently revealed that it is he who bought the grounds. He plans to replace it with a huge, diamond encrusted mansion. From now on, CaB will operate out of various regional facilities around Britain.
